Does anyone Know why i cant use a DH17 when i have Expert Carbine (lvl 3)?

It says that i lack the skills to use it properly when i equip it....?? Is a DH17 not a DH17? Carbine lvl 1 says you get a cert to be able to use a DH17 short carbine, and a DH17 Snubnose carbine?Are those different? If so, when will i be able to use a standard DH17? I'm confused, help please

Any chance you've picked up a D17 rifle instead of a carbine?

It would be a pistol, there is no DH17 rifle.

But yes, that's the most likely reason -- DH17 pistols look the same as standard DH17s.

It's a bug from looted DH17s.

I have the same problem. I have Expert Carbine and purchased a DH17 carbine from the bazaar last evening. Got the same message about lacking skills. I just stuck it in my safety deposit box hoping that one day I will actually be able to get some use out of it. <sigh>
