Point is... Carbineers are supposed to be the best at using Carbine Weapons. but BHs can use them faster with more accuracy than the people that are actualy going for the Carbineer?

Okay BHs dont get to use higher Carbine weapons. so if a Carbineer and a BH hunter use a low Carbine the BH will win cuz he use it faster and with more accuracy?

That just makes no sense to me sorry.
There is also the point of Skill cost.

Seing that BH carbine line I decided to master Carbineer and got for the Bounty hunter Carbine line just for the +++. that would put my Carbine to speed to +100 and my Accuracy to 120. counting Carbine points, BH points and Marksman points.

I want to be the best carbineer.. and I will.. even if they dont fix it.. when they do fix it i'll change my skills accordingly.

my questions are:

-then what is to stop every person who wants to be purely combat oriented from making a bounty hunter? even if they don't want to hunt bounty (and just be a murderous killer).

-should a commando be able to shoot a fair one with a bh (commando's need to master marksman as well as the unarmed combat line.) "oh, well bh's have to master scout too!" <-- big deal, so they can pitch tents.

It seems like carbineer/pistoleer/rifleman are more like secondary professions to tack on to what you already have. I guess I can live with that.

BH just think becasue they mastered the two easiest trees they should be special and powerful.

I would like to point out that Carbineers don't get a low-level knockdown at all. In fact I am not sure we get a knockdown ever. We do get a posture change, which is great when kiting melee players around, but its not like it prevents any damage from a blaster armed opponent.

And THAT is the difference between Underhand shot and Action Shot 2 (which is a possilbe bug even, the posture change should probably be on suppressing fire--which isn't even in the Carbine tree, but is a Ranged Combat skill).

carbineers get two knockdowns, single target and area effect (in a cone in front of you): charge shot 1 and 2.

carbine special abilities (column all the way on the right; requires combat xp)

Actually, nodisposition, I am of the opinion that knockdowns should generate hardly any damage at all. They should be used in conjunction with other moves, rather than being a one-move powerhouse.

And even if defenses get fixed, we still have vastly fewer of them than our pistoleer and riflemen counterparts.

our knockdown area is currently not working, damages, but not area and no knockdown. And action soht 1 is very very powerful, since you change the creatures posture it can stay in one place. Allowing you to solo a jedi master becasue they are melee.

just to get some things straight:

  • carbineers need 145.000 combat exp to get their knockdown, BH only need ~70.000 (i.e. what is required for Master Marksman + Novice BH) + 750k carbine exp total,of which400.000 they can already get while qualifieing for BH

  • carbineers need3.800.000 carbine exp + 400.000 on top of that to get the nessecary Combat Exp, calculating of a rate of10:1,BHneed3.800.000 weapon exp that automaticly supplies the 70k combat exp needed for the entire profession. so don't tell people how incredibly hard it is compared to other classes because it isn't

  • BH spend 217 skillpoints toget better skillmodswith a carbine than a Carbineer (92 skillpoints) and better with a pistol than a Pistoleer (92 skillpoints) and get a unique weapon on top of that and unique specials that are arguably the most powerfull ones right now (fire knockdown having dizzy is probably the most overpowered issue with it, without dizzy it wouldn't do half as much harm, still it does way more damage than all other knockdowns, TKA already got that nerfed in Beta, expect it to change for BH as well) and they get all the scout skills. Basicly BH gets more out of those 217 skillpoints than someone spending them on the single professions.

stop crying that people are trying to nerf BH. they need to be brought in line, nothing else. And the only people upset about this are the once that want to keep their overpowered status.

and to those crying about us PvPers nerfing their PvE experience: well you will need to look for another cheesy tactic or special you can spam to not get hurt while taking out red-cons.

A few things to clear up. The knockdown with dizzy is called fire knockdown (BH carbine 3).
As long as I played as a BH (i have pistol and carbine maxed atm), I've never seen I can underhand AND dizzy anything(player or mob), I dont know where you get the idea that underhand shot can dizzy as well.

BH in this game are not capturers, they are all assasins, all of their missions requires the mark dead. To achieve that, a BH should have the most powerful skill against a SINGLE target. And that's what they currently have.

As for large scale PVP, a BH will not always win, because they dont have area effect. A master pistolneer, who has a bugged disarmshot2 that does area effect right now, or a carbineer with chargeshot2 later on after they fixed, will be a lot more helpful than a BH in large scale battle.

But then, PVP in this game seems to happen too fast to have any reasonable tactic. unless it is a planned battle in the battlefield, which they are mostly bugged anyway.
