we get DX2 which is AR1 , but acid which their ARE some critters with defenses with, and the DX2 right now suck horribly and the HAM costs are almost as high as Laser Carbine.. hell, i'm considering dropping pistol and picking up carbineer..

I'd settle for just being able to duke it out with a bounty hunter and stand a chance, however some of those others sound pretty cool, too.


A master carbineer should be more powerful than a master bounty hunter who's dabbled in Carbineer, however a master Carbineer who's dabbled in BH is another story.

Agerg, I feel bad for you if your dropping pistol for carbine...as you its plain you dont understand what your even taslking about. The HAM stats on the guns are comperable, but if you had actually read the board, youd realize the issue with HAM isnt the guns, its the modifiers within the specials themselves. We have 2-2.5x HAM copst per special. Our best specials arent working correctly if at all.


BTW - if the best damage you were doing was 400, then your not playing your char right. All my guildmates are master pistoleer or near it and i consistenly see them doing over 700, 800, etc damage to GBN. Ive seen them hit for over 1k plenty of times. You pistoleers only compare the pvp aspect and completely disregard the pve aspect.


Ther is a reason theres a 15 to 1 ration of pistoleers vs carbineers in game. If you dont see why now, come join us and you will understand very fast.


I think everyone in here is a bit beyond the whole stat migration aspect of HAM costs. It is not a matter of secondary stats.

I have an idea for a fully automatic carbine..



  • Damage: Energy

  • Speed: 0.5

  • Min Damage: 80

  • Max Damage: 180

  • Wound Chance: 10%

  • Similar ranged bonuses/penalties to Laser Carbines

  • Special Skills cannot be used with this weapon

Its appearance would be a laser carbine without the muzzle, with an addition of a stock and a scope and maybe an energy clip out of the side (similar to the E11). This gun would rock.. but I'm dreaming.
