Lately I have had to use a 25-59 damage CDEF carbine instead of my DH17 one because the DH17 uses such an insane amount of health/energy/mind. Now even pistoleers do more damage than me, and sadly I don't think I will ever get acarbine betterthan that which I can fire without doing more action damage to myself than the enemy. I really don't want to play like this, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.

Could you guys at least make it so if your carbine skill is higher, you don't lose as much action/health/mind when using special moves?

I head that dh17's are bugged but I have seen nothing solid to back that up. I'm getting sick of not being able to advance because of a lack of weapons. I'm stuck on novice carbineer with a high damage CDEF.

I'm Hoping that people will be selling e11's soon(if they have low HAM use). It is very sad that pistols own carbines.

I know part of it is that the game is new.

Its because the first DH17 that the weaponsmiths make requires a stock. This makes the HAM usage skyrocket. The second DH17 (snubnose) does not require a stock and thus will not use as much HAM.

Personally I'm still waiting on the weaponsmiths to start making these on eclipse.

Another thing I would like to see is more models. For the pistols I have seen at least 8 diferent models. The rifles have around 5 models, maybe more. However, I have seen only TWO different carbine models, the E11 and the normal one. Come on guys, you can do better than that.

I bought my first DH17 yesterday, and was shocked at the amount of HAM it uses for special moves. At first I thought that I should go back to my crappy CDEF because at least I could spam Leg Shot 2 and do decent damage wuth practically no HAM loss. However, I soon discovered that with a decently made DH17, the base damage is so high that I don't have to use the specials just to get by. Specials are now emergency use for me. Now, hopefully when better carbines become more common, they will have better special move costs than the DH17, but I'm pretty happy with mine for now.

Thier are more than that. thier are CDEF, DH17, DH17 Snub Nose, E11, and EE3 avalibe on my server. of course for any thing more than a DH 17 you have to run arround the galaxy ATM, but that will soon change. and DH17+ are usless. I keep a snub nose DH17 and CDEF, CDEF for special moves and a DH17 just to hit them and hope it hurts bad.

You guys are so right. I was so disappointed last night with my DH17. It has 99damage, 4.5speed, but takes 60 to 70 on all pools for every special. I went back to my CDEF carbine that has decent damage/speed, and started killing whites again.

Finally picked up my first Laser Carbine on Flurry last night. Pool drain is slightly less than the DH17, somewhere around 30/40/20.

At this point I'm pretty sure all Carbineers are meant to be stuck as non-armour wearing self-medics.

In case you guys didn't read the other threads:

Carbine special costs (and specifically, weaponcrafting experimentation with special costs)are bugged at the moment. The developers are aware of it, and it is a high priority issue.

The Laser Carbine I got last night was 21-210/5.0 with 50/75/50 special costs, ideal range 50m. I hit for 1070 damage with FullAuto2.

Will E-11 Carbines be made by weaponsmits, or will they only be available via Imperial Requisition? It think it would be easier to raise 10,000 Credits for a Bazaar bought E-11 than to get the 3,000 Imperial Faction points requiredthrough requisition.

Also will there be anything better than the Imperial E-11 Stormtrooper carbine?I have not seen a future carbine weapon list anywhere. I'm most interested in this.

I have a E11 Carbine on Naritus. It is 40-96/3.8, 30/39/19 special costs. Player made. Its a few days old, I've seen some 44-104s going around... but you won't find better special costs until the bug fix goes in, though.

Wait until the bug fix for weaponsmith experimenation before buying any new carbines, please.

Are the E-11 carbines from faction perks any better than Crafter made ?
