Thread: HAM cost and carbines, this cant be right.
Is this just me or the gun?? If so, how would the *no stock needed yadda yadda* fix help this? ( if its the gun?)
Can someone explain to me everything about this carbine ham cost problem...
You can experiement on weapons to reduce action point cost. I had a tricked out CDEF that used about 60 action per special..on a pistol (!). I shopped around until I found one that had reduced specials cost.
You can heal action with simple first aid and stims.
Just some thoughts.
Eh, thanks for the thoughs and all but obviously there is a bug. Quickness? I have 700 quickness!
I just want to know how the bug works, I would like to level my carbine tree, you can obviously get weapons that arent bugged, how? Is it just crafted weapons without a stock?
WHen the ham cost is 40/45/18 or something around there and you shoot and take -107 health or - 80-100 action, somethings wrong. I dont need more quickness. I have the higest quickness possible in the game at that.
It's not a bug.
Different specials take different multiples of the weaponsdefaultspecials cost. Now I don't think the cost of specialsis well balanced at the moment(either does any other carbineer I've heard from) but the fact that different specials use different amounts isn't a problem in and of itself.
Then why the hell does everyone else say its a bug? Taking -107 action with 700 base quickness is pathetic. Maybe its just the stocks on guns, and if it is, why does the e11 with no stock have these cost.
I dont care what it is, but basiclly who the hell would be a carbineer? I'll be using a cdef to use one special with the bh carbine line if they cannot fix this. There is no way you can tell me thatsomeone with my kinda of stats is suppose to be taking this kind of hit in action per shot. If I cant do it, then I doubt any other race can even use specials. So what is it? Is it a crafting thing? Is it a stock thing? You guys seem to know so much about this bug, yet not one person can tell me what it is. People claim they get regular non cdef carbines that work well. Where do they get these from?
Crafting experiment ham cost thing obviosuly doesnt work, and stocks are obviously at a huge ham cost, is this the only thing bugging the ham for carbines? or is it something else!?
I am sorry to say that none of you has the slightest idea how to use a carbine. I really hope the devs do not listen to you guys. I personally expect carbines to be nerfed.

Lol, yeah, right. Sorry.. I can shoot 50 times with a pistol or riufle using any special, but I can shoot about 8 with a carbine? please.
What do you do, just auto attack?=/ heh. The only nerf needed to carbines arte those overpowered knockdowns. How about making the carbines, really a carbine.
For the record, with a D17 Carbine (hoping that's the right model number)
fullAuto1 pulls 212 action
legShot2 pulls 154
and actionShot1 pulls in the 150 range but I forget the number
I sure as hell hope this is a bug because if it isn't Im defecting to Pistoleer in a big hurry. As it stands now I can handle one, maybe twowhite mobs before having to camp for five minutes to get myaction pointsback. At that rate I can forget taking down lairs because by the time I get my action back up the lair has respawned all the mobs I just killed.
