Thread: Hey Tanks, This is the #1 issue for me, as far as bounty hunting goes!
I Personally think Root should be nerfed. I agree it shouldn't become the defacto necessary for BHs to be efficient ( no more so than being forced to take Combat Medic ).
What my #1 issue is the fact I take a Level 72 mission and get a Level 76 opponent. Since I'm only level 73 this is a issue. To me that's the main problem, you take a level 72 mission the target should be level 72.......
Yes, no root shot is my #1 issue, everything else works just fine.
For the person who is a level 74 getting level 76 missions, Well, Why don't you just do the INVESTIGATION line last. You'll be a level 80 and the missions won't be hard for you then.
My problem with no root is that as a bh im supposed to be a expert at duels, I dont even care about the jedi issue, just as a bh I expect to be able to root.
Pistoleers get it, Smugglers get it, Combat medics get a root with paralyze, jedis get a root.....
BHs need a root shot.
I just wonder why jedi got root AND snare AND ranged KD...?
...and speically designed combat program code that allows them to enter houses, space travel, heal while KDd and even kneel fighting in combat!?!?!
And to get the weakest version is runs about 4million non-jedi xp...........
Not all jedi have it morons, if we want it we have to go into enhancer. If you want it you have to go into pistoleer.
Oh wait, that makes to much sense!
It doesnt seem like us bh get much in the way of shots... a blind and dizzy shot that accomplishes nothing. Critical and the kd are good and so is duelist and torso.4 decent attacks for a prof is pretty lame though.

Let me spin you a tale of powers. I know you may not care about jedi, but jvj and jv nonj it's awful.
We have one dmgin move that has a long warm up and does less dmg than saberleg/head/body hit. All our moves are mitigated by the most popular single bar in jedi(0/0/4/0), 90% of our moves do less dmg than a mls using saber hit with no pearl/crystals, a move that does less than saber hit has a warm up on it, and we have a 5 second snare with a debuff which the snare isn't noticeable and the debuff is worthless if you can see it.
Bh and powers have alot in common, however one difference is bh is meant to be compined with another ranged prof. If you don't believe that look at all the GENERAL ranged mods in it.

every other post is NOT asking to nerf anything but rather to balance the game out...seems the jedi forums call for more nerfs than anything, even of themselves! lol

Hi, im the OP.
To be honest, i didn't call for a bh root shot JUST to hunt jedi with. I enjoy doing NPC missions (could use a root there) I like to duel (could use a root there) I like to do base raids (again a root would be nice). I'm even willing to give up either my KD or my confusion shot for it. Furthermore; it does not have to be an advanced root or even a improved root, a simple basic root will do. I want to be able to have a MBH/Mcarb/4000 cm and have a root shot to boot.
A pistoleer's root shot is mainly for escape because if i root a jedi and try to continue to fire at him with a pistol, i would have to stay within 35 meters which will allow the jedi to use advanced sabre throw and kd me, whats the point of the root then...to use it and run away like a smuggler?
