I've been noticing that I'm taking quite a bit of damage from Jedi lately even through 7200 Energy Resist Battle Armor. I have this armor Armor Break sliced up to 75% as well to prevent this from effecting me so much. I was wondering if anyone has any numbers to indicate the effectiveness of Advanced Duelist Stance in a fight. Will there be a noticeable decrease in damage and/or misses?

Ok, what Duelist stance does is increase your melee/ranged def by 250 points. And adds a return fire possibilty for ranged attacks. In the current system, your defense is calculated against the attacker's accuracy in the following manner:
Person A (500 rng def, 200 acc) attacks Person B (200 rng def, 300 acc)-because A has more acc than B's def, the damage done from the weapon is near to the max damage
B attack A-Because B has much lower acc, his attack is based near the min damage of the weapon.
What this means in Jedi v BH is this: their damage will be reduced only because it's near their min damage. But because an LS damage range is so small, it will be a TINY decrease in damage. However, against any nonJedi, duelist stance is great.
And don't use duelist stance to try to increase misses, just use Pikatta Pie and Vayerbock or whatever.

I use it. It's hard to tell if it makes a difference though.

well, its not gonna hurt u so just use it...thats my two cents
It's going to draw from my mind pool which is already taxed to a rather large extent and it's also going to force me to remain stationary for about 3 seconds. That could lead to a big hurting.

I used it today and noticed 3 misses in a row, but that might have just been luck.

That's why I only use it when rooted. Excellent poitn about the mind drain though.
Don't forget that defense also works towards you're chances of being hit/missed. So if your mark is using an uncerted weapon (like an Adv LR), he's not going to hit that often.
