Thread: How many of your deaths are YOUR fault?

Most of mine are:

I have a tendency to:

1) Fail to hit my opening sequence properly.

2) Fail to use KD at the best time, hitting it just because I can.

3) Fail to refill my toolbar with food/spice, or fail to uncrate things if I'm running low.

4) Forget to check my inventory to make sure I have the foods/spices I think I have.

5) Do stupid things like try to switch weapons during combat.

6) Wait around for a Jedi to return after he runs off, when his force bar has recharged. (I GET SO MAD AT MYSELF OVER THIS!)

There are some fights you just won't win, but 90% of my losses are directly attributable to stupid stuff that I do myself.

1. Attacking a ready Jedi.
2. Not being a Jedi.

Of the 77 missions I've done, I lost about 18 of them. Of those 18 I would bet that 12 were do to Jedi Rescue Squads coming to save theJedi I was about to kill. Of course these were all pre-cu.

If I lose a fight, it is usually straight up, no excusses. Some could be because they had a good template or I messed up my range (lag) but they were good and faught hard, cannot fault that.

All of them, thats how the learning curve goes. When I don't make a mistake and die its still my fault, I can't expect to win all the time.

I would like to blame most of them on lag but as this seems to be an "Honesty" thread I suppose I should own up to them all.

Common errors on my part include: Forgetting to uncrate food, pups etc before I start, forgetting the synthsteak when I am KD, not checking the number of uses left on pups, not /burstrunning to apply db,hunting while overt (stupid, stupid and more stupid)and suxing at PvP.

Also I am known to prefer food to SWG so when food arrives in the middle of a fight I do tend to /sit, unequip my rifle and armour and /say "gtg eat now, help yourself to some pwnage while i'm gone" (I have that macro'd). Once I came back after eating and the Jedi was jsut sitting there waiting for me, but that was only once . (and she handed it to me after we resumed the fight so I got no benefit from her honour).

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you

It is always my fault if I lose. Lately, it just seems to happen more often than not.

I would say about 80% of my deaths are from multiple mistakes on my part, but about 80% of my wins are becuase they made more mistakes than me.

Man, I've done all of that.

About number 6, I never let a Jedi dictate when or where a fight will take place - it's not his role. Either he bails and I play chase, or I peel off and get him another time.

The only times it isn't my fault is when l get a nasty lag-spike and miss aknockdown recovery or bactashot.

Biggest single mistake I make: forgetting to refresh duelist stance as soon as I get rooted.

Second biggest mistake: getting rooted.

True, however a good Jedi template allows one a greater margin of error..
