Hi All,

I've been away fomr SWG for a Year and starting again. I,m a MBH with Master Scout and Master Marksman.

Now I heard that only Ranged Support an Exploration are needed to be MBH (so the rest of the skills could be dropped).

But before I do this, i would like to know if this does have any effects on my skills.

Fot example: when i drom the Marksamn Carbine tree, won't this effect on my BH Carbine preformance?

The same for Pistol.

Please advice what is best to do :-)

Thanx in advance!

Your Carb speed and accuracy would drop. The weapon specific branches in BH give you general ranged weapon skills.(So the Carb tree will help you rifle abilities)

If you are not going to get into a elite profession with a weapon do not mess with it in markmen. Save the SP

So what you are saying is that if i wne for MBH with M Rifle I would need the Carb tree of the Marksman?

Does the marksman carb drop have any direct effects on the BH Carb speed and accuracy?

Welcome back to the game!

short answer is yes it will affect your carbine, rifle or pistol skills..

Butwith those extra points you couldeasilyMaster Pistoleer, Carbineer or Riflemanto go with it and still be master Marksman if thats important to ya.. or you could do combos of them and pick the branches you want for certain specials or skill mods like General ranged accuracy/speed etc , specials can be done with any ranged weapon now .. for instance a popular choice is Pistoleer 0004 gives you a root called stopping shot , can be done with a pistol/rifle/carbine and even commando heavy weapons

an Example , my template is MBH/Master Pistoleer/Combat Medic 4000 for with force sensitive ranged accuracy 3 for a grand total of 250 skillpoints spent

It hasgreatUtility in PvE and grouping.. probably better templates and ranged masteries out there if Jedi hunting is your thing.. just my opinion/experience.. im sure there are skilled Pistoleer/BH that do just fine

I think you should check posts on the forums for Ideas on templates suited to how you will play, are you going to be a Jedi hunter? or is your focus more PvE oriented ..want full on damage and combat, or would you rather be able to help with heals when needed

Whatever you decide .. you have plenty of points left over now after master BH that you can beef up your accuracy speed defenses and get heals and specials if you so desire

Best of luck

basically what he is saying is... don't waste the skillpoints in master marks... only pick up ranged support, and what ever lines you need that are prereq's to other profs.... In other words... specialize in a weapon like pistol, rifle, or carbine... then drop what you don't need out of marksman. As a BH you'll still be able to use all 3 types of ranged weapons effectively, but will be alot more deadly with your chosen type... you'll still have some skillpoints left over after a double mastery and may want to pick up part of another ranged prof for other skills.

example would be the MBH/MCarb/0404 pistoleer ... you only need to have 0444 marksman, and you'll gain alot more general ranged accuracy than the skillpoints invested into master marksman... as well as more defense, and root.

to be MBH/Mrifleman you would need 4004 marksman

you could still use pistols and carbines you just wouldnt have the extra pistol/carbine specificdefenses speed and accuracy, nor would you have the skill mods in master marksman

try downloading and using the Post CUprofession calculator from this site and play around with different templates
