Just wondering why Bounty Hunter is all about ranged professions. I would love to take upBH as a tkm or swords, they should split the BH professions as 2 trees go towards ranged and the other 2 towards melee. Any one got any thoughts, complaints or insight in this or is it just me?

If you want to be a Melee Bounty Hunter then go for it. You can go BH (4000), Master Swordsman, Fencer (4404).
But to answer your question, probably because SWG leans toward Ranged Combat. There a reason why people stoped using swords in battle and migrated toward guns.

he obviously wants to kill jedi.
the reason people do not go Melee BH anymore is because they have to invest so many skill points to get to master BH. those skillpoints they've invested got them nothing but ranged specials. If they were to go melee it would almost be a waste to have so many skillpoints tied up in MBH because the only thing they recieve out of that is the ability to hunt jedi, defenses, and less skillpoints.
