Just check the instances like I do. I have yet to die on Kash (not due to the can't KD recover when KD bug). Takes time but virtually assured of your payment.

The fact is, SOE is too lazy to reprogram our droids, or program new droids to actually be able to look into different instances for the Jedi. So they just simply disabled droids on Kashyyyk.
Now I WAS fine with them disabling droids on Kashyyyk. There wasn't a large population of Jedi there. Kashyyyk was just a content planet. You wanted a new gun, a set of armor, or a mechanical arm, or any other new and rare loot, you went to Kashyyyk.
Now ever since they raised the creature combat level cap from something like 65 or so to lvl 80, Kashyyyk has become a place to grind.
This gives Jedi a nice new place to grind, all without the problem of being hunted. If you grind on Kashyyyk, chances are you won't be killed by a BH as often. Most BH's drop Kashyyyk missions. There are a small percentage that will actually seek out Kashyyyk Jedi. Personally, I'll go look for them on Kashyyyk, but sometimes I drop the mission.
The fact is, seekers will never work on Kashyyyk. The Devs are too damn lazy to program it in. You have two options... Hope to god that the Devs nerf Kashyyyk back down to like lvl 65 creatures, or buck-up and search out the Ryyat Trail.
it doesn't really matter if seekers work there or not. 95% chance that the jedi your after is in the Ryatt trail in the webweaver section grinding.. and a 70% chance that they're AFK grinding.
Even if you die in the Ryatt from the spiders running down, which you won't if you use parawan or have any CM skills, your items don't decay there, so there's nothing to worry about. I must admit it's inconvenient to search all 6, but i've never had to search more than 3 instance before i find my mark.
Granted, it would be really nice to know which instance your Jedi is in, but it's not completely necessary.

Okay there are two solutions for the kashyyk problem
1- i know the devs would never select this one.. but simply dont show kashyyk missions..
2-
that would just make EVERYONE grind there

They don't already? I haven't come across a single Jedi grinding off of Kash. Everyone not on Kash has either been PvPing in Theed or farming factional NPCs. Even if you don't grind on Kash, without group vis you'll never get on the terms anyway.
But to the OP, the Producers want Kashyyyk to be a safe-zone for grinding. It's not even a matter of getting the droids to work properly. They were somewhat working before, but after the positive press, the droids were turned off altogether.
I prefer option 3
Orbital Bombardment.
Those Star Destroyers floating around Corellia could be retasked to doing something more...worthwhile ![]()

No, they never worked for the Kash instances. The waypoints the seekers give do not carry dungeon names or instance numbers, which in turn renders them useless for marking spots in instances.
The were turned off because they did not work. Apparently this was the solution chosen over enhancing the waypoint system, I suspect because of no resources being available to tackle a revamp to the waypoint subsystem.

I like the way you think, why dont we make Kashyyyk into a glass factory

Hey the new droids CAN work, but they are not going to do it anyway heh.
No they prob COULDN'T, because the devs said when designing kashyyk there was no way the droids could work well with all the iinstances. No matter what they did they just didn't work properly.
A new method must be put in or turn off xp on kash which i agree. It's a questing planet, why would u need to get xp there
we've got plenty of others.

Let them grind, let us get viable obtainable marks without wasting money on someone's poor design idea (kashyyyk BH free zone).
Hum pulled six mission last night one on rori and 5 on kask.
guess what the one on rori was near a house and a friend tip him off as he saw me land in a starport. Boom huddled in his house and logs.
Then enxt 5 are all on kask. Guess what got 5 bounty and sent 5 jedi to the cloners. made about 1 mill as a few where not full temp
4 of the 5 where afking. and when i nailed the jedi the whole group was torn apart by the feral wookies. at the end of 2 and half hours there where 4 afk groups afking in the cloners not hurting a single wookiee, and five dead at my hand.
What the problem with kask. I have hunted over 34 jedis and about 30 or those jedi are from kask. Average time from mission to finding the jedi is around 20 minutes or so. heck one time i got a jedi mission caught that he was in kask space and manage to beat him to the kask starport and jacked him the minute he went to move after loading into the ground and pulling his speeder out.
The only thing wrong with kask is the devs need to create a mob spawn for the afker
