Thread: DUEL/ENDDUEL MACRO
Excuse me? I have never seen a Dev say that they intended /Duel to be used as a way for targets to determine if a BH had a mark.
And all the Friends list did was tell you if the target was online.Which was a valid reason for the friends list. Of course, they could have blockedout targets if they wanted. Unless of course you were silly enough to put the BH on your friends list which then told the BH exactly where you were. But then that would have been your own fault.
And to the second poster.... too funny!

Funny, because I have never heard a Dev say Last Ditch is intended as a first strike either, but that logic doesn't stop BH's from using that as a tactic either.

Let look at the mechanics:
Last Ditch: If used successfully, guarantees a quick win with the mark never having a chance to defend himself. But to you, that's not a problem at all?
Duel/Endduel: Oh noes, you've been discovered... the Jedi who already suspected you were after him now knows you are. You STILL get your first strike. And you have a problem with this?
Dude, just as you say a Jedi can defend against Last Ditch as a first strike, a BH can defend against the Deul/end duel thing. That little line works BOTH WAYS!
Try NOT coming up to your mark looking like a figure from a John Wayne movie, ready to start gun slinging. Be inconspicuous, be SNEAKY, and above all, BE A HUNTER! If you do this, you should be paid and on your way back to the terms for a new mission before your mark ever had a chance to /duel/endduel you.

lol last ditch is not even close to a exploit, if they want to use up their entire action and be defenseless thats fine with me, BUT the duel/end duel macro is an exploit. I don't see you reasoning saying last ditch is an exploit please leave those poor smugglers alone they have enough trauma from the feign death days
nor was there a post by any dev that said the friends list was intended on lettting the BH know when his mark logged on/off. it was called the friends list, not the online list. do you think that a BH is the friend of those he intends to kill?
the friends list was a useful tool in working around a problem (not a bug) that terms gave offline missions. this duel effect is a valid response to bounty hunters who exploited dueling. BHs have nooone to blame but ourselves.

Please get rid of it....I keep loosing marks because of the duel bug....I just went to the emporer's retreat...I was duel/enddue 7 times within 3 min....the lag almost kicked me from the game...j/k...but it really does need to be fixed
