Bounty Hunter Archive

So, I am new to bounty hunting, I have always just used my BH skills for PvP and never really hunted anything. So, with this new loot stuff, I figured I give it a go. Well, I get the Arakyd droids and seekers. I send out the Arakyd and get the planet the mark is on, I go to the planet and get a waypoint, I get to the waypoint and nothing is there. What am I doing wrong? Or is it that I need to send out another droid to start chasing around to other planets?

Depending on your Investigation level, your NPC marks will wander around and might leave the planet through a starport. Thats what your seekers are for - they have a "track" mode which updates the waypoint you have with the position of your mark at the time of the update.

I have MBH, so when I get on planet, I should send out a seeker droid?

yeah send out a seeker to "track" the target, you'll get updated waypoints to the marks location.

Then when you get to within 175mtrs(confirm please someone?) the mark will stop moving and you can close in for the kill.

Yes.

1) Get mission
2) Talk to informant
3) Launch Arakyd to learn the planet your mark is on
4) Travel to that planet
5) Use seekers in "track" mode to get updates on your marks location, close in on mark
6) Mark might leave planet through a starport before you reach it, if so back to 3)
7) Kill mark

Yeah, ban all NPC marks! This thread is about NPC marks, not player Jedi bounties
