Thread: Jedi killing templates

Now that I think about it and I was a fool to not pay attention to this before, but based on friends that have had success using this template...can anyone see anything wrong with doing this? MBH, MCM, Rifle 4000 ? You get paralyze, diseases and poisons, hemorages, shocks, KD, critical shots, head shots, sniper shots,great healing, and a partridge and a pear tree.


Wouldn't this template still be effective as far as combat is concerned as we as be able to kill full jedi templates without much difficulty?


What are your thoughts? Would just having Rifle 4000 be good enough to dish out the 1k+ damage using the right rifles?

no,


do mbh mr cm 4000 that is FOTM now, and is a great template for killing jedi, screw paralize if your alone it only helps you get away, no offensive advantage.

Template: MBH / MPistoleer / Smuggler 4000


Abilities for crowd control

---------------------------------

1. Concusion Shot - Stops opponent completly unable to attack too. Perfect for healing yourself and refilling food.

2. Panic Shot - Makes opponent unable to attack. (20 sec). Good after they knock you down and standing back up.

3. Advanced Stopping Shot - FR3 jedi abvious.

4. Underhand Shot - Use this then do Concusion. Makes them have to lay there. Plus your next shot will hit for higher.


My experiences with dealing with MDef / MLS have came down to this stragity:


1. You NEED a very very fast gun. To do this just get a High Cap Scatter pistol and put a 30%+ speed pup on it.

The one I use has a 0.85 modded speed after pup. This makes the gun have a 782 DPS! (You shoot fast)

2. Get an adrenal buff from a doctor. This will dramaticly improve your speed.

3. Your action will drop VERY fast now that your shooting fast. So eat as much action regen food as possible and take a pixie. Obvious..

4. Master defenders have +500 defence when using Aura, so you must compensate for it. Go get some Pyro, its a drink that gives you around 180-210+ accuracy for around 45 seconds.

5. Synthsteak for around 43% decrease in the jedi'sdamage output. (Very useful for using LAST DITCH).


I have taken down many jedi with this template by just using Pyro and Last Ditch. Last ditch does not always work but it is very efficient when using Pyro too. I hit a Mdef in a duel for 5400+ points. One thing though is if they knock you down and you try to use it when you stand back up, there is a HIGH chance that you will miss. So stick with Concusion or panic and heal yourself.

So overall you just need to do more damage than they can heal. Or you can just stick with draining thier forcebar.

After using last ditch, you do have to be within a close range to db. If you are too far you can spam a damaging move over and over until you get close. It will say invalid target but when the jedi gets back up he will do a quick heal so make sure you hit him before he uses heal. With Pistols you shouldnt have to worry about being too far. I never had this problem, only in pvp will I see me having to run up to an incapped player spamming criticalshot.


As far as soloing high lvl mobs, using Concusion and Panic are very usefull when you are up against more than one nightsister. You can use concusion or panic on the others and focus on just one nightsister for 20-30 seconds.

you are correct sir, the hightest cl without a double elite mastery is 78.



i think your template is great i dont see why you are not winning. mbh mcarb 4000 cm sounds like a great template,


maybe its the tactics, can you expound on how you hunt?

The specials im using for high damage are Critical Shot, Torso Shot, Sray Shot, Body Shot. From my testing it looks like these are the strongest attacks i have in my template but im just not doing enough damage. Some input on what i should do would be really apreciated.


My tactics are simple really, just kite as much as possible and hit them as hard as i can. I never run out of mind and can always keep myself heald up but the fights always end up with no winner. Now this is hunting full template or near full template jedi, i havnt gone after any low lvl onessince CU hitbut i know i wouldnt have a problem with them using my template i have now.

You are doing enough damage to get the jedi to wear his mind down healing in whichhe will be out of mind and you should be able to incap him then. It is my understanding that being MBH, MPistol, CM 4000 is probably the hardest template to kill jedi because of how long the fight takes. Well I shouldn't say the hardest but it takes a while and all that while trying to keep yourself alive as well. Most of the time I hear when jedi's run out of mind they usually just cloak and run away which means you've wasted your time but atleast you didn't die.

Would i be better off switching to Carbines or Rifles? Im just not doing enough damage to kill these guys cause with force infusion running on them there mind just doesnt go down.

I've got a character (not listed in my sig) that is MBH/TKM/0020 Medic. Can sit and fight with the defenders for quite a while thanks to the COB.

I'm MBH / MCM / xxx2 pistol. I get all of the nice debuffs, plus i have stopping shot. I think its important to be able to heal yourself during combat, just in case a Jedi happens to get too close. But with this temp, I have thyroid and stopping shot as well as paralyze and kd. So its pretty easy to keep them out of reach. Rifleman's sniper shot is only good in an open terrain. In reality, 50% of my missions have taken place at starports where a jedi is trying to run to a shuttle. /shrug
