Personally, I do a little mix-and-matching with my battle armor. I wear Marauder Armor, minus the chest and helmet... I replaced those with the RIS Helmet and RIS Chest Plate... all of it with energy layers.

But yeah, pretty much all battle armor (from the same Armorsmith) is the same. Correct me if I'm wrong, but armor is made with "armor cores". Those are what determine the stats of the armor, minus added layers and such. The only real difference between different types of the same classification of armor is the requirements. Like Marauder and RIS from the same Armorsmith will pretty much have the same stats... but the RIS, unless you have pre-cu RIS to use as layers, is gafreakin' expensive. That's because RIS requires "rare" drops like Giant Dude Kimo Scales, Gurk King Hide, and Woolimander bone fragments. So really, just because you pay more for RIS doesn't mean it's better.

But yeah, picking an armor is all based on personal taste.

Personally, I think padded armor makes you look like a man dressed in a condom costume (and I have flashbacks to a high-school sex-ed video with Sinbad every time I see people in Padded). Marauder looks kinda nifty asside from the chest plate and helmet, which look stupid as hell. Chitin is decent, but doesn't look too flashy. RIS looks like Samarai armor (cool factor WAY up), but is really expensive if you don't have the rare drops for it.

Really doesnt matter which armor you get in a class, whichever skin you like most as stats are identical

BH armor is very rare, RIS is very expensive, and factional armor costs about 10k FP to bio-link so those arent really comparable to teh rest anyways

Based on what you just said, you are telling me that there isn't really any difference between assault armor and battle armor. Right? Can someone verify this please? I was told different.

My apologies as I understand what you actually meant now. Sorry man. So every type of "battle" armor will essentially have the same stats.Gotcha. Hmmm...well what is the more popular battle armor then? Padded? Marauder?

I'd say padded is the most popular because it looks fairly normal and comes in lots of colors

the weaponsmith and armorsmith boards have sticked threads with post cu info on them.
