Ok, I'm totally confused about BH Armor. I've heard one is wearable and one is not? What's the good is the unwearable one then?

Looted armor from Black SunsPRECU were wearable and converted to "Crafted Bounty Hunter" armor when the CU came. These have an option on the radial menu to Convtert for crafting Mando armor.
Looted armor from Black Suns POSTCU are not wearable but can still be crafted into Mando armor.
Patch 21 will bring 1 time use schematics that drop from NPC bounties that will allow a master armorsmith to craft "Crafted Bounty Hunter" armor that can be worn.

As a followup to this post, the new craftable BH armour in Publish 21 cannot be crafted into Mando armour. Unless I remember incorrectly...

Yeah, I don't know if the new stuff can be crafted or not either. Someone who has a piece on TC should see if the option is on the radial menu.

Thanks for the info. Glad I got all of that before I started looking to buy armor. When does Publish 21 come out? Any idea what NPCs will drop that schematic?

It's great that we'll be able to access these schematics but there's one problem I'm going to have with it.
I have 2 full BH armor suites and almost completed a 3rd. The statshave always sucked for BH armor; the only reason to have it was for converting it to Mando and to just look cool in it.
Now that Master Armorsmiths can craft it, will they be able to make it as usefull as any other armor they can craft? If so, this makes all my looted BH armor less valuable.
All the time I put into finding it and the credits I spent buying what parts I needed won't amount to much of anything in that case. Kinda sucks, you know? Well, we'll see how it goes.

Yes they can make it as good as any other armor they can craft. The crafted helm from test center has 6800+ kinetic, 4800+ energy, and 5800+ base. with like 43k condition.

Guess that makes everyones looted BH armor expensive and rare junk. From the looks of it the color can be customized; Very cool.
