whoops... i did misread it.

Ok, the TEF was fixed so that after the mission is completed the 2.5 minute TEF would no longer apply to the vehicle. So if there is a TEF on the MP Vehicle, then we are able to attack it?

as I understand it, they are removing the restriction, which means a TEF will be placed on it? anyone? I think I am reading this right.

Here is my guess with that... By giving the driver a TEF because he offered a Jedi a ride makes it so you can attack/blow up his speeder. My guess is that they pulled that for now because they felt that the driver might be able to attack you once you attack his speeder causing either for him to distract you while his jedi buddy makes a run for it, or they both gang bang you and kill you. That will cause a headache for the bh community.

it means they removed the previous modification.....that modification made it so you could not enter a vehicle while tef'd

so...now...if grouped with someone who is in a vehicle, either the bh or the Jedi can enter the vehicle, while tef'd

we'll see..I think flying off is sorta cheesy on both sides...but at least there are ways to counter it, and it's impossible for a player to heal themself while in a vehicle

It wasn't a TEF issue at all. What was happening was that no one was able to enter a multipassenger vehicle for a certain period after combat ended (not sure how long). So it was causing serious problems forgroups out running normal missions in multi passenger vehicles. So in short they undid what they put in. So it's back to the way it was before.

This was an after combat was over bug. It is a fix because no matter what you were in combat with, you had to wait 2.5 minutes after combat was over.

Quote from Brawler correspondent if that helps to explain it.

Damn, I was so wanting to make the driver pay for getting involved, just like say IRL I'd shoot out tires, gas tank to explode car, driver in forehead. Ty, underhand shot FTW.

As long as the "in combat" restriction is still there, then it's still good.

From what I see, I think the whole offer ride fix in the beginning was to stop all the offer ride windows spammed while in combat as a method to hinder the opponant. I still believe that being able to offer ride to a friend to rescue him/her is an intended game mechanic, and this is just their way of keeping that mechanic alive. As long as the Jedi can run away long enough to break combat, he can get a ride from a friend. It's just that folks in combat can't spam each other with tons of offeride windows anymore.
