not worth it, there are too many factors, there might be a certain trick for it to work. Also, double u tee eff! lol the good bomb droids are only 75k on ur server?! they 125k on mine! :-/

What sort of damage to bomb droids do? Does anyone have numbers - the only stat I see is the detonation level, but how much damage is done to the target?

In my experience, a detonation power 58 droid, 3700ish damage, takes the target's health down by roughly half in combat.
I usually generate the droid on the spot, it takes 10 seconds to warm up and 5 to detonate. A good strategy is to Knockdown and generate the droid at the same time, then hit him with the hardest shots you have. Detonate ten seconds later, in 5 seconds, he'll be toast.
Oh, and do it once you have him at half-health, so it incaps or at least gets very close to it.

I am curious as to how everyone uses bomb droids of different sorts for hunting jedis. I heard you can use a bomb droid to pull an AFK house sitter out of his house, is this true? And if so, how?

I use bomb droids and I can say this has never come up. I never tried it because I was afraid it would not work and I would be out an R3, Lev 58,75kdroid with nothing to show for it. Why dont you try a mouse bomb droid (lev39)...Less expense and should provide you with the information you need.
