props go out to Arvida i believe for figuring this out......from my understanding the kd bug took place if you hit kd recover before the animation is done...so.......i have just tried his method.
here is how it works.....make a macro with the same kd recovery icon, name it KD if you wish whatever you want name isn't important.
the body of the macro should look like this
/dump;
/knockdownrecovery;
that's it. i guess the /dump command clears up any queued up commands that are stopping the recover from taking place.
make sure you double check your spelling before you go into a fight and just to make sure use it first OUTSIDE of combat, if you get the "wrong posture" message then you are in business.

usually use kd recovery before or during my fall and get up as soon as I hit the ground

Um i dont think this is a Bug? I was noticeing that this was happening to me when i had my default shot on,as soon as i stoped useing it i was able to get up np. This is why your /dump makes it seem like its working,as /dump is the command to kill macros

This macro will do NOTHING!!!!!. The first command will dump ALL macros instantly, including this one, so the /knockdownrecovery command will never be activated.
