Thread: Thinking of becomming a BH, advice please.....

I am getting bored with the state of the Commando prof, and am thinking of BH. This would be my first venture into it.
Now I'm not interested in the war against the Jedi, I have other reasons for BH.
I would like to know if the grind is entertaining at all. Doing NPC bounties sounds like it can be boring, but I've also read the pub 21 notes, and it looks like they might be getting harder, which means more fun. I may go after a player jedi or 2 once i have the right cert for it, but is not my main goal.
But to drop master commando and loose the proton rifle, the prof i go to has to be worth the loss of the most powerfull weapon ive used to date.
Any insights would be appeciated.

Wow, not much of a response here. Either I'm being ignored because Iasked a newbish question, or no-one has anything to say about the prof, good or bad. Think I'll pick annother prof then.....

And the NPC bounties arn't entertaining or rewarding untill master. Not that sure about noobie mark loot though..

In my own defense here...... I made the second post because there had been a bunch who had read it, but no-one seemed to have an opinion at that point, which I find bizare in this game. Everyone seems eager to post their opinion around here(not just BH forum either) So to see 17 people(at the time)read a post and none of them reply was a bit strange.
But then again I might just be too impatient. Or that mabe since I'm not here just tohunt jedi, i was not welcome??
Not that I want to steriotype BH's as being out only to hunt and greif the jedi.....

Most people who troll these forums are only knowledgable in the BH profession as far as jedi hunting goes (respec lot), so not many of them grinded/are grinding inv with npc bounties.

The BHxpgrind is not fun.
The new changes are interesting but it's not that great and the novelty of the situation will die down soon. The only worth-while item that drops is/are Bounty Hunter Schematics. Once you get those, there's no reason to do these missions anymore... unless SOE decides to update items every few weeks.
The high-end slice items seem nice now, but only because you can sell them for a hefty price. Once everysmuggler has their share of these items, the price will go down, and the reasons to do these missions will lower further so.

Part of the reason I want to do BH is because I am already a master smuggler, and I have not yet payed for an ICB and never plan to do so. So either I start looting them, my customers provide them, or I just won't do the high end slices. I refuse to buy an ICB, except for my own slicing needs, evan then I still prefer to loot it myself.

Pretty good reason to change then, every mission will drop a slice item. In the 15 missions I've done, I got 2 Illegal core boosters. But I wouldnt say it's that much fun. It's a job.
Hunting jedi's are fun though, you get a rush not knowing who you will see, what they will do, how you will fare. These NPC's pale in comparison. Even the 30k HAM bosses are not that hard.
