Thread: Working toward MBH and not sure what to back it up with

I am trying to decide what direction to go after MBH. I have a few idea but am just looking for some help from experience hunters. While I will PvE from time to time my main goal is to hunt jedi. Here are some of the templates I have considered:
MBH/CM 4004/Rifles 4044: Higher DPS, CM debuffs, paralyze....no MR weapon certs, efficiency on debuffs high enough?
MBH/CM 4004/Pistoleer 4404: CM debuffs, paralyze,good use of scatter pistol......lower DPS than rifles template, efficiency on debuffs
MBH/MCM/Pistoleer 0004: CM heals, DoTs, debuffs, root/paralyze....low DPS
MBH/MP/CM 4000: Good Heals, best with good scatter pistol, root...lower DPS than rifles
(FoTM) MBH/MR/CM 4000: Good Heals,High DPS, Cover....lack of root

Currently I like the first template the best but am concerned about the lack of master rifleman weapon certifications. Is the adv. laser rifle enough to get by if I can't use a T21? Are there other viable non master weapons out there (don't know much about the Kashyyyk weaponry). Also I have heard pistoleer can not supply enough DPS to really hurt most jedi. Is this true or will I be ok with a good scatter and either master pistoleer or Pistoleer 4404?

I would say if ya can find a good WS to craft ya a sweet rifle and get it sliced you should be fine with the first temp.

It's also plain fun in PvE with the constant barrages of fire, posion, disease, etc. Also I could not imagine myself wihtout the healing power and the root, the stopping shot is VERY important for mayny, many tactical situations in a Jedi fight, from keeping him off of you, to keeping him in the fight.

That is my temp and I have had success hunting full temps with it. It is also wildly fun to play, the MCM profession is very cool with lots of interesting ways to appraoch killing jedi. It's also plain fun in PvE with the constant barrages of fire, posion, disease, etc. Also I could not imagine myself wihtout the healing power and the root, the stopping shot is VERY important for mayny, many tactical situations in a Jedi fight, from keeping him off of you, to keeping him in the fight.

I concur.....I have this template and have gotten 212 kills with only 11 deaths so far.....most being full template

And also try getting your hands on the kenetic damage (with acid damage bonus of 70) Kashyyyk stalker pistol from the avatar platform......I have a damage capped scatter and it rides backseat to my speed sliced stalker

magler, your record is scary I hope to be half as good. Where is the avatar platform? I don't feel like hunting today (too many hours doing it last night) have a lack of interestin chasing NPCs , it's a good day to go after that pistol.

These templates are pretty interesting. The second one is, of course, the FotM, so it's no news to me... but I'm contemplating the same thing. I'm thinking about shifting my template towards MBH/MCM... but I can't think of anything to compliment those two. I was thinking of getting 4000 Rifleman, and use the Lightning rifle, or Covert Retaliator.
The few that you listed up there like the CM 4004 and 4044 Rifleman seem pretty interesting, but the only problem I see is that you might come below lvl 80 with those.

MBH, MCB (master carbineer) 4000 CM: Can get good dps on proton carbine, get good heals along with some good attacks, good suggestion?

I am a smuggler... and was wondering how many of you guys get armor break reduction for your armor cause those pesky Jedi like to use it!

I was mbh/mcm/pistol 0004 and am now switching to this template cause I want to just kill jedi fast, I lost patience for the long fight of the other template.
