Thread: Has this happened to anyone else?

I had qualified for pistol marksmanship 2 so I went to find a fellow pistoleer to train. I found someone who said they could train me so I grouped, then they said I had no skills to learn. Thats strange, I thought, so I double checked the amount of exp I had and that I had enough skill pnts. Both checked out so I figured the guy was thinking of a marksman pistol skill. It turns out he wasn't. I left him and tried to train with 3 other people all with similar results.

I gave up and went to the pistoleer trainer and paid for training. It worked fine (I submitted a /bug).

Yesterday I qualified for pistol marksmanship 3. It had been awhile since pm2 so I went in search of a pistoleer and had the same thing happen. I was taught pharmacology 4 in between these events so I can be taught.

I don't really mind paying for training, after all its "monopoly" money, but I am interested in finding out if this has happened to anyone else.

Please let me know,

yes, this has happened to me. I have a hard time finding a pistoleer with out leaving the planet I am on. But when I ask a pistoleer to train me, they tell me I have nothing to train in. I end-up like you and going to a pistoleer trainer. I have even set a way point for the pistoleer trainer. How bad is that.

One of my alt characters is a human female, who is getting master id. She is nearly there, so i was playing around with the different hairstyles and such. I gave her the 'fro and was poplocking away when i opened my inventory to change clothes. Inside it had "hair" as an item, showing it equipped. It gave me the option of examine, drop, and destroy. Of course i asked around me, but no one had seen that before.

After wondering about it for a while, i decided to see what happened when i 'destroyed' it. (couldn't drop it, don't have a house. ) After destroying it, my character was completely bald, and everyone in the cantina could see it. I thought it was funny, and decided to try again with the fro to see if this happened again. It didn't show up in inventory again tho, so i guess it was just a bug.

Is this a common thing, or should i have /bugged it?

Either way, it was too funny, and i wish i could do bald on her again, it had a nice v'ger look to it.

This happens from time to time, we use it as a "bald workaround." I believe it's covered in the FAQ somewhere..

As a side note, you can't drop it in a house nor trade it to someone.

Here's how to get the bald look:
Offer yourself any hairstyle. Refuse the hairstyle, but not by clicking "refuse"... do it by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Offer yourself any hairstyle again. This time, accept it. Now you should have the destroyable "wig" in your inventory. Once you destroy it... bingo! Bald.

I was out fighting some mobs, finished killing them and i got this onscreen meg saying

"Wookiee applied poison to you,
you have been poisoned.
You start to bleed."

Now i had no effects from that, plus i typed name into friend and came up with not valid name.

That happens to me occasionally, regardless of being on my jedi toon or not (and before I was jedi).

I'll often get random system messages like that ("You have been set on fire", "You have sustained more bleeding") etc. when out driving around.

Only explanation I ever heard was that it may have something to do with an opposing faction member in the same zone as you doing said things to an NPC of your faction. *shrug* No idea if that's true or not.

If someone has a pet that has your name (possible) and its getting poisoned/diseased/whatever that message will show for you, regardless if you are close or not. Just be happy that the same name wont kill you )

Yeah i get it all the time. There was one occaision, a guildmate was grinding investigation xp (she was a pikeman at the time) and told me that her NPC mark just happened to be called Uni. (My name ) A few seconds later i got messages on the screen telling me i was dizzy and KD'd. It really didnt do my nerves any favours when i was a low level, is be grinding and all of a sudden get system messages telling me im dizzy, blind, stunned and on fire. There were a few times i actually looked around to make sure there werent any BHs hiding in the bushes

The funniest ones have to be the random "You incapacitate Wookiee" though

I've bank tipped money to someone before and there was no message about the 5% charge. Instead, I was told that I "successfully tipped 4000 credits to wookie". But yeah, if an NPC has your name, you can get some messages that he would have if he were a player.

I read about the bug in the game that if you answered the wrong question to Emya, you got placed into the duty mission loop and you were not able to complete the Heavy X-wing/Imp Gaurd fighter mission. Of course I read it to late, and was stuck in the loop until the latest patch finished it.

Well, with the last patch, I was able to finally get the Imperial Gaurd Fighter, but now I switched sides and went Rebel. I re-mastered Rebel Pilot (quad xp over the weekend was great!) And I was able to go and talk to the Kash space station and start the quest over again.

I did the first two 'escort' missions and the space station sent me down to talk to Emya again on the ground. The mission about 'go talk to emya' appears in my quest journal. However, when I go to talk to him, He says to go talk to the Space Station again - and the quest does not clear out of my journal. I talk to the station, and it sends me down to Emya again. It seems I'm in another loop.

Has anyone switched factions and attempted to get both the Imperial and the Rebel fighters and gotten this to work???

From the frying pan into the fire...

...you're stuck in a whole new bug now. Or it could possibly be intended to prevent people from getting three Ionic Pulse Weapons.
