Thread: The New Loot and You...
I mean - The loot is so amazing and plentiful SOE is saving us probably over 100 million credits a week for a regular NPC after NPC Bounty Hunter.
That means more money for better equipment to take out the real Jedi.

Hehe, that's kind of my point, if you're busy doing one, you arent doing the other....

No one is going to pay millions of credits for the loot if it is "plentiful". CA, SEA's, smuggler toolkits will all be devalued if these npc marks continue to be very, very easy kills. Earlier I killed a boss mark while I answered the phone AFK. It dropped 2 smuggler tookits and a +6 Force Accuracy CA. That's ridiculous. These boss marks that drop the good stuff need to be the same difficulty along the lines of super battle droids or nightsister elders.
If it stays as it is, the market will be oversaturated and everything ... all the loot that non-BH's get from other mobs will be devalued and worthless.
But basically I'm saving millions and millions of credits from this loot as it's stuff I pay high price for.
Also, I understand the prices on illegal booster cores and reactive armor plating will drop, along with other loot.
The point is, it's saving us a whole lotta money.
Now if only they would drop crates of +57 bomb droids - Muahaha.

It's content, and when you get content you don't complain about it....ESPECIALLY when it is something everyone has been wanting for a long time:
this is the same content we've always had. go get mission, launch droid, walk to waypoint, possibly drop camp or abort mission due to bugs, if not then kill, repeat as necessary. these are the exact same marks we've been fighting forever, they just finally changed a few numbers so they've got a bit more health. and the second half of your statement shows exactly why it is so ridiculous that it took this long to implement, people have been asking for this for a long time, now all of a sudden blixtev comes out of nowhere and does it over a weekend, and instead of being informed of this through reading player feedback he discovers this on his own. why didn't he know a LONG time ago that this was something that might need to be looked at? oh yeah, because apparently our feedback isn't important enough to read.
I'm not saying the devs jump at things when they are first mentioned...I just wanted to point out that BH's can finnally get BH armor. To me anyway, that seems good...better late than never.
As for the more health on the marks, did they make them hit harder too? I know some people have been wanting a slight difficulty dealing with NPC marks. I haven't seen for myself because well I'm not a BH anymore but "boss" marks looks like a promising thing at least at first glance.
i could get bh armor before....... what's the difference? now the market will be flooded with bh armor, weeeeeeisn't this what everyone was whining about hence we got the cu armor revamp? everyone wearing comp used to ruin everyone's gameplay somehow, now everyone wearing either bh armor or jedi robes doesn't bother anyone?
I'm not going to argue with you over it...since the CU I've seen plenty of changes and plenty of varieties...
i know but giving everyone easy access to what should be a unique armor is not a good idea, flooding the trade forums on every galaxy with hordes of attachments is not a good idea, encouraging everyone to pick up one profession to loot these attachments is not a good idea. the cu did bring a very small amount of diversity, why try and undermine the progress they've made with a silly patch like this?![]()
Think of us as the PVE Jedi now. We are 1.5 in pve and they are 1.5 in pvp

i wish i had some extra skill points to get a block or two in merchant, lol, i have a few things i can sell now.
how many things do you think everyone else has already?
Okay....let me get back to what I was talkin' about.
Let's all agree on a couple of things.
1. Content is GOOD !
2. Yes, this is the same content we've had in the past, but now it's more enjoyable, and it's worth something.
Those are the two things I think we'd all agree on. I do agree that this will devalue some of the rarer things out there as well. How much, that remains to be seen, it could be alot, it could bea little. From a MBH/MS, I enjoy having parts to use again to slice. In uncrating 1000 WUK's and AUK's, I got 2 Illegal Core Boosters, today, in 3 missions, I got 3. So I'll be slicing again, which is a good thing.
My originalpoint though, each NPC you hunt, is one less Jedi Mission that you try. It's obvious that this helps Jedi somewhat, so the question remains, how many are going to be doing more NPC's than Jedi now ? For example, if you did 20 Jedi hunts a week in the past, and you still do 20 hunts now, how many will be Jedi, and how many NPC's ? I'm not saying any answer is bad, I'm just curious how much benefit all this nice loot will have, in, perhaps an inadvertent way for Jedi.

I will be strictly NPC for the time being.

"amazing and plentiful"
you know, thats kind of a contradiction right there.
if there are tons of loot, then sooner or later the price is going to drop and its going to be worthless.
supply and demand man, all the things your looting are going to be garbage in a few days
