Something I figured out to do which reduces the amount of dmg done to you from these marks. Is go in close get them to go melee on you then kite them until they go ranged again then get close again and run until they die also there melee dmg is less than there ranged.
also make sure to use the right foods like pixie or booster blue (spice) and wafers for dmg reduction and ruby biel and stims and you should have a much better chance than just standing there and shooting at them.

Kinetic is ideally BETTER vs an NPC, but these guys uses armorbreak and some rather nasty attacks that does 500-700+ after armor on you (I have 7K kin composite), my best situation is to stay ranged and use your fastest weapon with a low SAC (or pup) and keep duelist stance running and KD them as often as you can, though sometimes they spam chargeshot on you as well.
Quite silly how some people still want these guys' difficulty level upped.

i jus stay ranged....you get more armor protection as ranged...
8k energy armor 2k energy PSG = capped energy resists (10k)
vs
8k kinetic resists then mob using armor break on you. = alot less protection then 10k energy.
BUT sometimes they use kinetic ranged weps like FWG5 or Striker pistol...which tears through your recon armor

Between bacta shot, and stims I was ok going toe to toe with these guys. Agree Ruby Bliel is a must as is citrus snowcake if you have any kind of bacta heal. I switched weapons a bit to see which did better. There was no huge noticeable difference, but I did better with my scatter than with the Lightning Rifle. I hit faster with less sac and could always let the default attack kick in for a little while and just heal myself while action regened to about 1/4 then could unload on him some more. It was a decently tough fight that lasted a few minutes...I enjoyed it.

I'm not even a MBH yet as I'm level 73. My template currently is: 2344 BH, MCarb, CM 3000 and I took a difficulty mission of "80" from the terms last night, and when I got to my mark he was level 82 or 83 (can't remember which it was) and had the silver brackets around him (1 chevron elite npc maybe?). Anyway he was tough and was doing insane damage on me but I think it might have been because I'm still using composite assault armor instead of battle armor. Even with health, action, and mind regen foods he still whooped me and I was able to get him down to half health before he incapped me 3 times. He hit me HARD and QUICK and he wasn't even a boss.
Sheesh.

I dont have healing like a lot of other BH templates so this is what I need to do
and for the person saying stay ranged try what I said first then you can comment or just shutup cause when I stay ranged I take a lot more dmg. read what I said fully im not tell them to stay melee on the target im telling them to get the target to go melee then run it around until it pulls its ranged weapon out again then rinse and repeat.
and for the person that asked what I mean by kite is to run the target around while they have there melee weapon out

I just opened up with root and shot him from 70m out (Love Cybornetics). Once root wore off I leg shot him and kept him out of range till i could root him again and finish him off. Looted 181 power blaster thing. Gonna make a great new rifle =)

Wow, what are you guys doing wrong?
I took 3 missions last night, all turned out to be silver chevron bosses, 35k ham.
Two of them i took out w/ my carbine (947 max, 320dps) without ever needing to heal. i got knocked down a couple times, but stood right back up. i was at about 40% health when they fell. got some decent loot.
I also have novice cm, but only healed on the first mark. then i determined i was wasting time healing, as I could reduce their health to nothing before they could do the same to me.
this is with ASSAULT ARMOR on - 7100 kinetic, 5k energy, 6k base, a psg, and duelist stance.
only foods were pixie, blob candy and bofa treat.
Its just not that hard.
The lvl 88 dark adepts i ran into near one of my marks was actually a good fight. i was down to 200 health (trying to heal) before i killed them.

your marks could have been bugged but the ones Ive had do 450+ dmg a hit to me and for a none healing temp thats a lot but I can still kill them but others have dropped these nice missions just cause they couldnt kill them
