Thread: Always losing...advice anyone?

No matter what my tactics are, I always loose to Jedi's, either I dmg them quite well but they just heal over and over again, or I do very little damage. I can surprise them while they are trying to solo Krayts, but nothing...

My foods are Breath of Heaven and Neutron Pixie - it seems I cannot eat anything else in terms of HAM foods, I am just now experimenting with other foods for dodge and accuracy and defense...any suggestions?

My Gun is an E11 Mark II Carbine, dmg is in the range of 460-970ish, and speed is 1.15. SAC, however, is 96...With a powerup my damage is around 500-1040ish and speed is 1.5

Template is Master Carb, Master BH, 2-0-0-0 Combat Medic (going for 4-0-0-0)

Armor is 7.5kKinetic resist Assault, so 5.5k Energy, 6.5k Elementals

I normally start off with Duelist Stance, then KD, Leg Shot, Crippling Shot (at this point they are standing up), followed by applying various states...

any advice? should I try and use some det droids? what foods should I be using? Should I get a different gun?

How many have you fought that you've lost to? I noticed on my first couple missions I got some Master Def's and they are insane hard to kill. Ask the Jedi if they are MDef, most seem to at least give you a yes or no answer. You could just be getting unlucky.

1. only attack if you have achieved complete and utter surprise.(meaning you can frontload a alot of damage, getting a clean KD, followed up by a Torso , ADV Crti combo, followed by stopping shot , Torso, ADV crit combo as an example. This will guarantee the jedi to be in a defensive position after the the first strike. You have forced him to think of only two things at this point, running or healing first AND then coming after you.

2. Only engage if the Jedi, in addition to being completely surprised, is not buffed or his force is down, or he is engaed by MOBS or creatures. Even if you achieve utter surprise like #1 above but the jedi is not in a tough spot (in other words he is buffed and not distracted or engaged by other PvE activities) you can still lose dramatically even if you cause massive damage before reaction, so DON'T engage and follow this rule.

If you follow these two rules and drop the mission whenever you can not engage with these parameters, you will achieve success . There is nothing wrong in doing this. This is the BH way and Jedi's are 1.5 stronger for this reason.

3. Learn about foods and how they best compliment your personal template, seek out high energy resit armor, slice it for Armor break if possible. Find a good weapon with high damage that you can slice for speed. Add a power up to the weapon to let it produce even more damage (so cap damage with weaponsmith and Power up, slice speed).

4. Add a duelist macro this will help alot as well, here is one I found on this forum:

/duelists;
/pause 26;

/pause 1;
/macro Duelist

i would finish your template first and get 4000 cm, also use booster blue instead of pixies (same effect except blue is -20% health regen and +20% mind regen = better for your healing)

get some deuterium pyro and use it throughout the fight (lasts around a minute but is +100 accuracy)

personally i never touch a weapon with over 85 SAC but thats all about personal choice

also, it would help a little if you used battle armor with +6k energy resists, maybe slice it for armor break reduction and get yourself some decent accuracy attachments - also +healing efficiency shirt helps a lot and is cheap

hope this helped
