I dont want this to come across as complaint, because you guys are doing a tremendous job in tweaking and responding to the community with back to back patches and fixes--much more than in the first year of SWG.

However, I do have a question--which im not sure was raised or addressed at the Fan Fest. As your customers we recognize the developers must be concious of the bottom line and marketablity of jedi. Hence the fact that jedi is easier to attain than ever before, and have overwhelmed the populations on all servers and litterally swamped any pvp within the GCW.

Fine I can accept that you may not want to change this. BUT, has SOE considered giving its customer base the OPTION to play on new servers that are specifically dedicated to having the ability to get a Jedi blocked? If you created a couple of new servers, this might actually ATTRACT back old customers that may have left under bitter circumstances due to the jedi overpopulation. I believe CHOICE is what sells. This is a win-win situation. Jedi can play thier end game without further hampering, and the rest of us can experiment on another server dedicated to a non-Jedi style of play. You can even call it a dedicated time line server

Thank you for listening, and hopefully checking into this for me

If anyone was at FanFest and this was asked and answered, please respond.

why do people keep bringing this up? it makes no sense to me....SOE is not going to run two versions of the game, this is like people who were begging them to put in an old world EQ server, with no expansions past kunark or something...it never happened, and neither will a non-jedi server.

jedi aren't ruining the game, they are just the targets everyone likes to point the finger at, but then they themselves become jedi when they unlock it. classes are broken, noone will deny that, but making a non-jedi server won't fix broken classes, and fixing the broken classes would bring ALOT moe people back then a non-jedi server would.

That's not a fair response. I share his idea, and it's likely one of the only outlets left. Did you read his post? He's asking for a few more galaxies where Jedi don't exsist (or some people say, very, very rare again.) Other games have offered alternative rulesets depending on the servers you plan on (in fact, almost all of them do.)

The only problem I've ever seem with this plan, is that A LOT of people would flood these servers. Folks think everyone loves to see Jedi in-game. I highly doubt that. JEDI like to see Jedi in-game...

because if you make special servers with special rules, it makes things way more complex then they need to be...if you don't like jedi, don't unlock....and don't hunt jedi...and stick to guild warsbetween non jedi guilds.....there...now you have your non-jedi server.

CLASSIC SERVERS

THere would be NO excuses..... you dont like Jedi Wars? GO TO A CLASSIC SERVER WITH NO JEDI.

You want to be a jedi? Go to the servers that allow it.

IF SOE = making money - and they should since they are in it for the money - then they could attract several thousand more players to the classic servers and hence make more money.

The Lords of the Sith are not the only ones capable of calling upon the corrupting powers of the dark side of the Force, though they are by far the most dangerous Force-wielding foes of the Jedi. The blanket label "Dark Jedi" is often used to refer to non-Sith Force-users, though these darksiders may never have been true Jedi, as can be seen by the ---->countless "Dark Jedi" trained during the reign of the Empire<----, during which the Jedi Order was dead and gone.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sith

Sidious, as Emperor, continued this trend after the formation of the Empire, with Dark Jedi such as the Inquisitorius, the Secret Order, the Emperor's Hands, the Dark Side Elite, the Emperor's Royal Guard, and various Dark Side Adepts.

I think thousands of players world wide would want exactly that - classic servers with no jedi. FS is np - but "jedi" on a classic server would be impossible to obtain.

Why are players/jedi threatoned by this?

Set up 1 or 2 servers that are exactly the same - yet have it so unlocking jedi is impossible - it simply wouldnt exsist.

The entire hate saga between GCW players and "jedi" and BHs and others would be pretty much over - you dotn like your jedi wars style server? then go to the classic server.

You want to be a jedi or want to hunt the jedi in some fashion? Stay on a server that allows it.

Done.

OF COURSE other buggy and still yet to be fixed areas of SWG would exsist - but this is a way for SOE to open up a different revenue stream.... and make its customer base a little more happy.

Dont be threatoned by it...why should you? lol

the idea that this would cause problems because of two versions of the game is bunk--- they had the path to jedi turned off in the first 6months of this game anyway--whats different from then to now? Just make the shroud around the village impossible to pass through--what is so hard about that? They do that for all the people who havent been visited by the old man anyway....

unfortunately, the problem ISNT solved. that's the point of requesting a jedi free server.

there have been numerous statements on this issue...there will be no "special" servers, most recently at fanfest....again...your have all the ability you need to avoid jedi if you want to:

a)don't unlock

b)don't hunt jedi

c)pvp only in duels or in non jedi guild wars

a whole lot easier than making special servers.

That does not mean it will never happen, money talks and people pulling out over time will hurt this game.

SWG did lose a lot of players due to the jedi issue and only since the Total experience hit the shelf have I seena number of new players trickling in.

When I first started playing this game it was 4 months before I even saw a jedi with a glow stick, they stayed hidden.

Jedi was special back then, but now there just another proffesion in the game, to be honest they should have simply made it a vet reward.
