i'm currently M.BH, M.Rifles, 4000CM. i'm finding i can 1v1 any jedi to the point that they are continuosly runnign to channel mid fight (cloak/force run etc). its very difficult to get the final blow in to incap i was wondering if it might be best dropping CM for xx3x medic and getting xxx1 pistoleer instead. i my bacta shot drops from 1470 to 1070 and i no loger get spray or toss (mostly for healing others anyhow i suppose). and i get the 10s root shot from pistols. what do you guys think?

suppose i loose 400 heal in exchange for a 10s root every min. hard call?

go for the root, if they can't hit you, you don't need to heal

CM 1003 - 25 HE BE clothing. 50 HE. Pop them with improved drain and kneecap. No need for a root with this combo snare. They wont be running anywhere unless they have FR2 or 3.

Last I knew Force run broke snare, so it's not as handy as it should be

I havent gotten to try it out yet since the bounties are bugged as they are, but I've heard MR/P xxx3/ Med x2xx with +25 HE tapes work pretty well. Max range, max damage, 20 second root, and a 900 and 700 heal

I have never seen FR break a snare. If they do its news to me. I know there would be a ton of post on it if they broke snares. I can say for sure they dont break snares but they will increase the run speed. If they are on FR2 or 3 they wont be doing any damage.

I say go for the 3 medic - I'm currently at just 0-0-1-0 medic (been questing so havent gotten the rest of the med xp I need) and that heals for 450+, if I drop a citrus snowcake I heal for around 1200+. So with 0-0-3-0 medic, a +25 healing efficiency shirt and citrus snowcake you can get some killer heals and have a root.

what i'm beggining to wonder about is the amount of healing needed to effectivly counter the attacks you'll receive while healing. for example a heal of 900 (from medic x2xx) is nice on paper, but unless you plan a KD or similar every time you want to heal you'll get hit for a good fraction of what you just healed for (if not all of the 900 if the jedi's got a decent LS). thats what is so attractive about 4xxx CM.....best way would be to try both and see but withgroup XP changingi'm hesitent to change till i see how it will effect things.

I have medic 0020 and with capped HE at 40 and a droid I heal at 1500+ every 5 sec. Without droid alittle over 1k. If you go CM do 1003. Still have 3 heals but now you have drain to keep the jedi at bay.

My apologies, I should have been more clear. FR doesn't break the snare, but they sure as hell aren't being forced to walk as the state is supposed to do. A Force Running Jedi with the "snare" icon under his name is the same as a Jedi with a broken state.

I believe burst run has the same effect, so you can try it out with a friend.

IMO I prefer the healing over the root. You have the snare, that should help you out alot.
