Just a quick question: Why do Jedi use "/duel" to see if a BH has their mission?

I guess abetter question would be; What message do you get back when you "/duel" a BH who has your mission?

Best to ask on the BH forums. Not sure really but i think it messes with the BH/Jedi TEF.

if the BH has your mission it will say something like you cant duel them since they have tef on you.

its a really cheap tactic that ive seen a few of the more loser Jedi on my server do if anyone, and i mean anyone gets too close to them.

Yep it tells them if you have their mission even if you have not attacked them yet. All they have to do is check the radial and see if the duel option is there. Ever wonder how a jedi knew you were after them? Well that's how.

well I thought they didn't have the option but apparently it says "this person can already attack you" so they know you are after them

I see. Thanks.

Good for the Jedi to know.

Bad for the Jedi to know if you area BH. So much for first strike. Then again, what good PvP Jedi does not know you are there for him/her when you show up?

Its a know sploit so the Jedi knows if you got hes/her mission or not. On the other hand, just accept and start attacking before they can /endduel I dont know how many paddys I have incapped on kass that has done this to me.

Its just annoying but I've come to find most Jedi like to fight BH because of their overall advantage, its kind of like a PvP delivery service.

The Ryyyat s'ploiters have a tendancy to duel you to find out. Since you can't have a mission on everyone that will try /duel, some of them are bound to be treated by the system as a valid challenge. If they don't have a macro doing it, if you're ready, you might be able to accept it and open up on them.

Was a story somewhere around here about a jedi that got killed by a hunter doing that somewhere around here.

From what I've seen its usually a 2 second duel macro. /duel /end duel, way too quick to retaliate. lol Unless the Jedi was a complete moron and forgot to /end duel.

Becoming a jedi does not neccesarily mean they understand how to use the in-game macro system. Several of the ones who's done it on me has done so manually (doing usually with the LoS exploit covering any retaliation on my part). Really wish they'd get rid of that system message though. How hard can it be? Just change the string they summon everytime you do an invalid /duel.
