Ok basically any defensive stacker with excellent healing can never be brought down by any ranged template or fighter. In this case theres no way a master defender can be brought down by any ranged bh. Now i know it would be unbalanced to give ranged an armor break as effective as melee, but put maybe like a smaller version of armor break to balance it off. Right now as a master rifleman and bh i cant hit a jedi and when i do i hit for like 150 dmg. Same thing to crazy melee stackers with center of being. Ranged need some form of armor reduction. There is warning shot but its not really effective and last for like 4 seconds. If range has an armor break maybe 25% less of what normal armor break does the game i think would be really balanced. Cause when im hit with armor break im down in like 4 hits. So I will start out with

Toparaphrase a different profession (melee, but not Jedi) "Armor break is the only thing that really keeps melee classes viable. Giving a ranged class armor break would remove any reason to stay melee with roots, snares, dazes, et al."
So I reject this petition.

maybe find a better gun, other people seem to hit plenty hard enough

Enh ... I'm all for us having stronger abilities but not by essentially taking away something unique to the other side of the combat fence.
Melee can armor break, but they can't b!tch slap someone from 65 meters out, and I can.

i have taken down master defenders before. solo. with a gun.
some people think that SWG is a "everyone has the same thing in a different color" game like wow. it is moving that way because of whiners like the OP. There is diversity, checks and balances in SWG. So you cant hit hard against a master defender. Figure out why, and takes steps around it (aim + deuterium-pyro is a BIG first step). Don't like armor break? dont get so close!
Dont come on here whining because you got owned, it happens to everyone. Learn that it is a game, it can be fun if you understand it, and start learning!

Armor break doesnt do anything againstranged or meleedefenses.
It does exactly what the name implies, it decreases the armor the person is wearing (non-defender jedi only have an armor of 2000, master defenders have 7000).
What happens alot fo the time is that a defender who has high ranged (and melee) defenses will put advanced Aura on which adds another 500 ranged & melee defense. What this essentially does is make sure that when you actually hit them (the high defense will make you miss more often also) you will be hitting near the minimum of your weapons damage range rather than the maximum (did you know that BHs hunting Defenders should find the highest MINIMUM DAMAGE weapon they can find no matter what the max is?). THEN their armor kicks in.
So you see, armor break for bounty hunters would be worthless against hunting Jedi. Non defenders have next to no armor anyway, master defenders your main problem is their ranged defense which armor break wouldnt effect at all.

I'm not so sure I agree with this. I'veonly dueledtwo Melee/healers and both were very close fights, even though I lost. I attribute my loss in those to my personal skills rather than template advantage. Long way of saying I made mistakes.
I don't think Bountry Hunter should get an armorbreak. But I do think Master Marksman should.

Against a Defender, your max damage means absolutely nothing. Their ranged defense is so high that you will always be hitting for near the minimum damage range. So you might want to take a closer look at your weapons and see which ones have the higher MINIMUM damage.
Just one of those little details that set apart trully great bounty hunters from those who just can't figure it out.

I am a bit puzzled as to what BHs would do with armor break. Armor break simply reduces the effectiveness of one's armor. Jedi can't wear armor, so what do we need an armor break for? The problem you're having against master defenders is their high ranged defense modifiers, armor break would do nothing to help that. And as someone else pointed out, armor break is one of the few things melee players still have, there's no reason for ranged players to get that too. Melee players got a pretty hefty nerf with the introduction of roots and snares for ranged professions, there's no reason to give ranged players any more of an advantage.

We dont really need armor break, I hope they allow us to buff duelstance while running tho since ANY animation ruins it. and a jedi can catch up while we are using it, yet they can run around using their 500+ def buff all day

It would be nice to have duelist's stance be able to be activated while we're moving, but I'd say that if that gets changed, we should support melee's CoB getting the same change.
