Base DPS: 320.06

or

Pistol 2: HC Scatter w/ sac pup
Speed: 1.71
Damage: 382-926
Sac - 70
Base DPS: 383.35

I get confused, you hear one person say max damage is the most important, then one says dps is the most important. well im confused, which one seems to be better

Myself, I would go with pistol 1 with a sac power up

I'd get pistol, get a speed slice and use a SAC pup.

with +25 pistol speed and +25 ranged speed in my suit i think a damage slice would benifit me more... right?

You might find that you can't get a damage slice. There is a different damage cap for slicing than crafting. I had a 926 max dmg scatter that I couldn't even get a level 1 damage slice on. I had to go with a level 3 speed which took me right up to the speed cap and a level 1 critical shot. Even though critical shot chance is currently broken, I figured that I'd use all the customization pts that I could.

It should tell youif you attempt a slice that will take you over the weapon's cap and not allow you to do it.
