I have 2 MBH and a Jedi. Since the CU the only profession I have had problems dueling are melee professions namely swordsman. So I was just wondering are there any melee bh out there and if so how are you doing in jedi fights?

not many because itsa waste. The whole BH tree is full of ranged mods and specials. If you do go melee, good luck, you'll need it

Ok you are correct in saying that you have to master bh in order to hunt jedi but use a prof calc and look at the mods that you get with master bh master swords. Your melee speed and accuracy far outway that of ranged and u still get the ranged and melee defense bonus.

not enough skillpoints for CM i think

When did I ever say anything about CM if you get MBH MSwords u can still get 0020 medic which is enough heal along with stim Ds to survive longer than most jedi.

I know Mtk/Msword +doc 4000 or 2002 etc is the new fotm for melee players and that this temp is as tough thou not as versitile as the MLS/Mdef template. I wonder about the effectiveness of a MBH/Msword thou.. You dont have the improved COB and xtra defences/accu/speed nor enough spto get sufficient healing ability.

It would also be difficult to bring down a Jedi intent on running away because of the lack of any roots or mezzes. I have also found a melee template to be difficult agains highly mobile adversaries because of lag/bug where it is impossible to hit a running opponent with anything but lounge. And it is also common to get "target out of range" message when standing directly ontop of an opponent who has been KD and is in the process of KD recov.

All and all the BH/swordman temp could work but ranged templates would be more versitile and effective for a BH.

Thanks for a good response your post means that you actually thought it through. And the template that you called FoTM for melee is what i fought and lost to(right after I lost to him he beat a MLS/MD jedi). Not having TKM would be a hinderence but would the extra defense that bh gives be sufficent. On your note that it would be hard to catch a jedi that is running I agree but really at the end of the day any jedi that is intent on running will probably do so even against a ranged template via stasis and forcerun or cloak. Again thanks for the info I will consider this.
