hey i am currently a novice BH 3444, master rifleman, and i have pistols 0003? i think. and some medic.. like 0200

anyways i am thinking of dropping rifleman, and picking up carbineer. i am thinking of doing this because (1) recon armor is ugly, battle armor looks much cooler and (2) i am eventually going to go special forces (pvp) and i was thinking some of the area shots might be a good idea to have, which you dont get with rifle.

i am weary of giving up rifle however because of the sniping, i kinda like that. does anyone have any comments or suggestions on whether or not i should do this switch?

There are actually quite a few threads on this (recent ones, too.) It really comes down to prefence and play-style. Do you want to snipe while "concealed" (yeah, right!)? Do you want to rush in and snare and rush out of sabre range? What do you want to do?

well, mostly i'm worried that when i go pvp, or hunt jedi that the rifle won't be able to stop them fast enough and they will close range and waste me melee. i was thinking with rifle i will give up damage? but gain some speed? i've looked at the attacks, and i dunno i guess sniping really doesn't work against REAL players does it?

i'm mostly thinking in terms of pvp.. what would be best.
