Thread: How does Force Channel work exactly?

Hi. Old school BH here, recently back from a very long break.
I was reading a different thread on these boards and someone said something about a Jedi"channeling down to like 700 health"? I understand that Force Channel makes you more vulnerable, but in what way does it do that? (reduced health, uses some action/mind - anything else?) How long is the Jedi vulnerable? If I attack while he is channeling, does he remain vulnerable for the duration of the fight, or will he regain his health after it begins (assuming I don't finish him right away)?

When we channel we use our health to regain force. THe health loss is quite big (at least compared to the amount of force you regen). So yes we can easely end up with like 700 in health. The health bar (both current and max) regains at the normal rate - max perhaps a bit faster (approx 2-5 min)
The max of the healt bar drops along with the current health - so you would see the jedis health max dropping a bit each time he channels.
Since you cant see his forcebar I guess the info is kind of useless to you.

I think ive channeled down to 21 health. a bh sure would have loved to catch me then =)

Thanks. That actually does help quite a bit. I'd noticed a couple times marks with max health in the low 2000s and wondered why. I'll know to keep an eye on the max health whenever I see those occasional dips in action/mind.

When a Jedi uses Channel Force he loses about 300 of his max health and gains 500 Force. So with channeling once, a Jedi can go from 3000/3000 health to 2700/2700 health about. If he does it again, the max health drops further.
Max health will regen over time, and max health regen is faster than Force regen.

Isn't the Force Channel the jedi's 24 hour news network?? 
Sorry..couldn't resist.
But as has been mentioned, channel force is what allows jedi to quickly regen their force but it temporary lowers their max health as a result. If it's used enough times quickly, it can drop their max to below a 1000. On my jedi, I try and keep my health over 2000 points when I use it.
