Thread: Loot Comparison (Pre-BH Changes and Post-BH Changes)

Now, everyone's saying that the BH NPC marks' drop rates are incredibly high, and a lot of stuff have become very cheap, and will drop further in prices. The initial price drop in smuggler components (which SHOULD have been the case from the first day the smugglers received a slicing revamp) scared many people out of their minds, thinking that SEAs will also drop a lot in prices, and now everyone is paranoid on whether the loot will be nerfed in the future or not.

The fact is, the last tier smuggler components will probably stay in the 100-200k range for a long time. They have dropped from 1-3mil to this price, and they can't drop even further, unless there's a higher level slicing component introduced (or made pretty much useless like the Jedi color crystals, which went for 100-250k pre-CU in some instances).

Let's compare.

Yesterday, I have been doing some comparison. For 2 hours, I farmed for loot on Aa'kuans on Talus and Canyon Corsairs and mercenaries on Lok. And for another 2 hours, I farmed CL 80 BH missions.

Aside from the fact that the CL 80 "a mercenary" missions drop nothing more than "a leather gloves" and "a broken datapad" and only spawns CL 78 and 79 mobs, the Canyon Corsair drops and Aa'kuan drops weren't bad (I had a red crystal the first mission, for example). But let's consider the SEAs:

- 2 Hour Regular Mission Run (9000 credit average pay, CL 80 Canyon Corsair or Aa'kuans): 2 missions every 12 minutes on average. 1 SEA drop, 180k total pay.

- 2 Hour BH NPC Mission Run (30000 credit average pay, CL 80 NPC Marks, random elite and boss): 2 missions every 30 minutes on average (Endor and Dathomir missions being deleted eat up about 5-7 minutes, whereas doing them also eats up 7-10 minutes for traveling, so the 2 in 30 minute average is a very optimistic one). No SEA drop (at all), 2-3 smuggler component drops, weapon component drops. 240k total pay on average.

I will do the same tonight, where I'll be doing BH missions non-stop for 2 hours and will ask a friend to do the Aa'kuan SEA grind for 2 hours straight, and we'll compare the results again.

Now I remember what I forgot about the above message:

THE POINT IS: Amount of smuggler component loots have increased as they should have, but the amount of SEA drops have NOT increased dramatically compared to the Aa'kuan, Canyon Corsair, Blood Razor, Nym's Pirates, Kunga, Dantari misions.

There is no change to the new loot tables necessary IMO, and no point in whining for bad loot or too much good loot, or even be paranoid about a future nerf, but I'll run more tests tonight.

you forgot to take into acount the bh missions that bug when you get to were the mark should be cause that also slows you down. yah the bh loot is nice when you get it but there is also some prety lame loot on it as well as a few bugs soe need to sort out same as there are bugs they need to sort out for the loot table on the rest of the cretures and npc's in the game.

True, and don't forget the white conned marks that happen once in a while. Besides, Aa'kuans have been nerfed in terms of loot I hear, and even then I looted 1 in 2 hours.
