Ok, sorry but i couldnt find the option to edit so i have to make a new post, anywase...
So it is just alot of quest? then who or what do i talk to to begin? (this info would be very much appreciated)

Nobody knows yet, as it has not been implemented yet. Currently, the only way is through "holo-grinding". However, I'd advise against that, as there does not seem to be enough time to complete that before the "new" quest system kicks in. Everything is in flux right now, until the developers clarify some of their comments given in recent posts.

Better to just take a seat, pick up a magazine, and wait for the dust to settle, if you haven't even started yet.

Seven movies and another on the way. Hundreds of books, cartoons, comics, short stories, video games and even an encyclopedia. This is only a portion of the information on Star Wars available to the public. Of these, SOE has provided an amazing way for Fans to experiance the universe brought to life by George Lucas more than 20 years ago...

Obi-Wan: "That Boy is our only hope."
Master Yoda: "No, there is another."

At the time of New Hope, the Jedi are all but wiped out. There is a feeling of futility knowing there are only TWO who can carry on the mantle of Jedi.

SOE is also the only medium to have an abundance of Jedi when there should be only a handful. This is due, I believe, to mistakes made by the Marketing Divison at Sony and then over looked by the intelligent and forward thinking individuals in charge of the whole game.

The packaging for "An Empire Divided" states:

"You may even decide to set yourself on the path to become one of the ancient and myserious Jedi Knights."

"Join the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire, or seek out the ancient mysteries of the Jedi."

"...whether you become a bounty hunter or a dancer or a merchant or even a Jedi."

Was this intended or was it an oversight or did Sony scramble to put Jedi into the game to stay out of court because of marketing errors? Maybe someone at Sony decided George's ideas needed improving on? What would George say if he logged in one day and happend by the Geo caves?

I can remember the day I started playing "An Empire Divided". I loaded into one of the starter cities of Tatooine and saw my first Graul Mauler. I thought I was dead and I hadn't even started the game yet. I was in awe and that amazement lasted a month or two before my friends were no longer available for hunting, looting or even chatting. They were too busy looking for the coveted Jedi Holocron. If they had thier Holocrons, they were caught up in the endless grind that would eventually lead to... a Jedi.

My proposals:

All Jedi, regardless of rank are reduced to Force Sensitive with 6 trees of thier choosing. The Galaxy is full of FS beings, it binds us together.

This has three-fold impact on the game:

1. All the grief and hate and grinding over Jedi can finally end. We my not get the glory days of SWG, but we can come close, I'm sure.

2. "An Empire Divided" can finally fit in with the rest of the story. It won't have to be a "What If" any longer.

3. Most importantly, the DEVs can focus on the proffesions that really keep this game running. Look at all the problems that could have been fixed in patch 10 if it hadn't been devoted to Jedi.

Look at that! BH no longer grief about Jedi (I do beieve they should be able to take missions on anyone through the faction system but that is another topic alltogether), Jedi get FS skills, every proffesion gets the attention it needs, George Lucas keeps his ultimate vision intact and SOE can release a "Jedi" expansion when the game reaches the time of ROtJ. Everyone wins!

Note: This is a work in progress and I will be editing it sometime tomorrow.

SWG is not the movies players choose thier own destiny and will foten decide not to be a whiney farm boy, a slick talking smuggler, a bun headed princess, a gay robot couple or a villan with breathing difficulty. The movies were great but they didnt have cloners, holocrons, TKMs or melee classes featyured in them either.

The entire timeline argument just dosent hold water, you are seeing a single story thru the eyes of just a few people. SOE didnt sneak in Jedi, they were approved by Lucas Arts from the beginning and featured on Trailers for JTL because they are a good selling point and for most players the pinnacle of thier gaming experience in SWG.

This kind of post is just a new version of the " GL is mad and is going to delete all jedi and fire SOE " type of post that I shoot down at least once daily. You are personally bothered by the fact that many players have attained jedi status. Either you are upset because of the timeline problem( do all of your characters fit an perfect movie archtype? ), Because you dont have a jedi, because you have a Jedi and just hate that you cant be the only one, or some other reason perhaps even just a troll?

You are taking this game far to seriously if you are bothered by it like this. Games are supposed to be fun, and players with jedi characters are having loads of fun... and YOU DONT WANT THEM TO...

You would get great pleasure watching thousands of players that worked for months have thier characters stripped down to nothing and 24 skill points in the hole as a punishment. And not only would you enjoy and/or prefer it you dont even have the common sense to keep it to yourself. You come to the board where the largest number of people would be offended/dumbfounded/enraged or perhaps hoping someone would validate your fantsy.

You should be ashamed of yourself for wanting to ruin other peoples leisure time activities. when you see children playing in the street do you think it would be better if they had to go to school 7 days a week 16 hour days.

You have no buisness playing a game that allows interaction with other people, you are selfish and immature and seem to be very upset that you cant have things your way.

Jedi are not going anywhere, alot of starwars mega fans love thier jedi characters and would boycott LA and SOE if something that ridiculous were to ever take place.

In the end, years from now when SWG is still bringing in new players and people are still doing the FS grind, and more jedis become created and special Jedi mission terminals are created, and Jedi designed content, I am glad to say that you will have either cancelled your account or be spending time in jail for poisoning trick or treaters because you caught them dressed up like starwars charactrs.

You are absolutley the most pathetic, desperatley ridiculous person on the planet.

you gonna post this garbage on every board... dont think BHs will agree with you either, your basically taking away thier only content with your lame proposal... Here let me repeat my reply from the FS forums....

BH may dislike many Jedi that FD or log on/off but trust me they love em when they are standing over thier corpses and just made a quarter of a million credits with on boot to the skull. i dont think hunting NPCs will ever replace the feeling you get from knocking the pi$$ out of someone holding a lightsaber.
