lol you have any idea how many rifleman/bh run up within 10m of me and open fire. Pretty much all of them which I never understand after I'm done killing them I usually tell them they should try attacking me from max range to start the fight

IT NOT UNBALANCED, YOUR JUST BAD. Jedi are so easy to kill, but its morons likes you who run up to jedi when they are fully fooded and ready. Here take a tip. Watch them. Don't run up and attack the first 5 mins you see them. Stalk them wait until they are vulnerable, Jedis go out and hunt and pvp and etc. Watch them kill a couple lairs so you know their force is down alot. BE SMART. Most Jedi duel people alot, wait till they have a quarter health left and one shot them. Of course your not going to win against jedi a 1 on 1 if hes prepared Unless your a MCM or theira respec Jedi. You were never meant to. In design They are meant to be1.5X more powerful then you and no matter how much you whine it won't change that. They kind of grinded alot longer than you did.But you have the power to attack him whenever you want. Use it.
All good points except you are missing one thing and this is what p1isses most people off. You strike at the right time and that conceal shot that usually does over 1000 damage only does 500 damage. You try to root your mark for some odd reason it doesn't stick. You are able to get a sniper shot in before the jedi is on top of you but that only does 500. You then get knocked to the ground and for some reason can't get back up as quickly as you used to meanwhile two swipes of a lightsaber has knocked your health down and your dead. We don't mind jedi having an advantage, but when my shots hit, they should do just as much damage as they usually do. If my weapon specs say minimum damage 400 then no shot should be less than 400.

Dude, what makes you think Bountry Hunters were ever meant to beat Jedi? that's the physcis of the universe in which we play. Bounty Hunters were never really meant to beat Jedi. they are designed as high-level cannon fodder for force slinging commandos, that's all. they will always be fodder for Jedi, always. This is becasue Jedi are always cast as the god-like super warrior of star wars. Dude, star wars is all about Jedi. remember, the movie was called Return of the Jedi , not return of the Bounty Hunter...what planet are you from anyway?
I respec'ed to BH just to hunt Jedi, and If I can't kill 'em, I will at the very least make life miserable for them 'cause I'm so sick of hearing lightsabers go off all around me. The real title of this game is Star Wars Galaxies: Bountry Hunter vs Jedi anyway, and we are the sterotypical villians Star wars is a morality play and that means bad guys always loose. Bouty Hunters in real life use a whole team of people to take down their targets. Again, this is the word of mouth marketing strategy implicit in the design of the game, but the only way you'll win is to group with tons of people it takes tons of time to recruit and organize and run away 'cause their fickle and don't follow orders. Maybe once in a while you'll get genuinely lucky and find a group that will follow yor lead, but they'll soon get tired of it and you're back to square one looking for a gourp again. SOE likes it that way 'cause you'll try again next month. You're just gonna have to be smarter than they are and follow them and wait for the right time to attack. Get 'em when they're tied up with something else, and don't stand still when you attack like eveyone else does.
Pretty soon, you'll switch over to Jedi yourself and the galaxy will populated exclusively by Jedi with nothing to do.
People just don't understand it. They run towards a jedi with sabers blazing and then wonder why they died. Think about it. Do you really think any decent star wars bounty hunter did this? No. A bounty hunter is an assassin. They use stealth and tactics involved to killing their mark. Even if it means waiting around the the best opportune time to strike. There are a few BH's in the game that can open up fire with guns blazing and beat a full template, but I don't know very many and those that can have been practicing and practicing until their fingers are bleeding to accomplish this. Personally not many of us have that kind of time. People you HAVE to have patience. Setup your surroundings, watch your mark move, watch how he heals, watch how he attacks and look for any weaknesses. EVERY jedi has a weakness. Find it, exploit it, and put him face down on the ground.
Of course from what I've read and seen, more than 50% of the jedi that we have now are old MBH's that couldn't kill them so they joined them. They got fed up with dying because they think that just because they have 8000 energy resist armor, an uber uber weapon, lots of food, spices, drinks and a good template that they automatically will win. They when they die repeatedly they get pissed. It's truely unbelievable. I myself am almost a MBH...currently BH 0444, MCarb, CM 3000 and I'm looking forward to hunting jedi using smart tactics. If I get to my mark and watch him and I realize that i won't have an advantage I will bug out, delete the mission and find someone else. I won't even give them the satisfaction of killing me. I will only attack when I have the advantage and nothing less. Period. I'm not even a MBH yet, but I've watched many friends that are in the game and they hunt their marks the smart way. I've seen experienced MBH's get ready to take down a mark but bugged out at the very last minute because they notice things from a distance and don't get a good "feel" from it so they leave and go hunt someone else.

I thought that the purpose of the CU was to remove these "stacker" type battles that lasted for ages?!?! Now we're back to "draining" our targets of force or mind or whatever....call me crazy, but isn't this the same strategy we used when we stacked templates?!?!
Seems like the CU has come full circle LOL
I'm sure a figure of 5 - 6 mins was quoted as the max for a 1 vs 1 PvP. (If i find the quote I will sticky to it)These days it seems that most fights last 20 - 30 mins and at a conversion rate of 1 suit of armour per fight, PvPing is getting very expensive for people who have to pay for their armour but dont have a spare 7 ADKs laying around.

But when (IF) the FRS comes back it'll be like it used to be when the old one was up.Jedi gank squad going from town to town owning everyone.
S'like that already on my server. The chances of finding PvP that does not involve a jedi gank squad is so slim, everytime it happends I fight at a disadvantage from sheer shock of having a lone target actually trying to kill me with something else than a glowstick. 'course, last lad I ran into used a blaster and hit me with CM attacks, but he also used force infusion on himself, so I suppose it's doubtful whether that counts.
Oh well. At least loot farming in this manner appeals to me, in difference to camping the same spot over and over.
That's why I went to WoWI was sick of itPlus the loot system is fun (sometimes frustrating though), there is no "god" class and there's Battlefields!10 vs 10 CTF and a 40 vs 40 Conquest (go around capturing bases, destroying stuff, good stuff)and the honor system there is for everyone!
then stop posting and go play wow
Lol, go back to WOW. Nobody cares!
Yup, almost every Jedi I have fought this past week which has been full temps has been around this long, it gets very tiring and my sweet Tantal suit with 75% AB slice is wearing down. I'm going to be pulling out my 7K/5K/6K composite for the NPC missions, those are cheaper to replace.
You don't want to hunt Jedi. You want to hunt NPC's. You want that shiiiiiny new loot. These aren't the marks you're looking for.
/waves hand around
I agree there but I'm tired of dealing with the crap SOE pushes on us. I won't be huning jedi anymore once publish 21 goes live, i'll be doing npc missions. i saw screw it and let soe figure out how to deal with 99% of the server population being jedi

1. Give us some weapons/armor that puts us on more even ground.
2. Come back when you make MBH and have walked in our shoes.
Here is a tip for the guy who mentioned getting KD'd and hit for a whole bunch of damage.
When KD'd pop a synth steak. You'll be glad you did. It's amazing the things WE can do as bounty hunters to even the odds...really.
