Thread: PLZ listen to this jedi

They did not express a desire for THAT SPECIFIC ENGAGEMENT.
You know this to be the truth. You can't be this dumb. You managed to get the game installed, after all.
Solely for the reason of playing devils advocate:
Depending on the mob and the surrondings, whatever's chasing Test Subject A will not attack Test Subject B. Unless Test Subject B's AFK grind macro targets the mobs in question and initiates an attack.
If one does not desire that specific engagement, it would appear prudent not to initiate it. If the mob happends to run by, without any kind of intention of attacking you, and you initiate the attack, how can you then say you didn't want that engagement?
There's a difference between having someone run an aggro mob into a place of non-combatants (such as the aforementioned leading of a DJK into a cantina full of non-combat AFK entertainers) and running past someone who - out of his own free will - initiates an attack.
Isn't there?

Copied from the Community Standards:
Training is defined as pulling/leading a hostile NPC or creature along behind you and attempting to get it to attack another player who does not desire that engagement.
The intentional training of NPCs or Creatures will result in immediate disciplinary action when witnessed by a CSR, or if sufficient evidence is available.
Yeah, it does say that. But if the jedi attacked the mobs then its not training. If the mob drops agro on you and hits somone else THEN its training. However, if the jedi attacks the mob its all god. Wow, im owning alot of n00b jedi lately, or are you a traitor? Who the 'ell can stick up for afk grinders...
On another note i dont bother hunting jedi on kash anymore, so i don't really care, but thought as a BH who used to try very hard to lose the aggro before running past the LOS bridge to my target i'd say its all fair game.
Note: If they weren't macroing AFK then they wouldn't of recieved the engagement, thats what it boils down to, read the rule as you do, but dont insult others for interpreting it differently. Its just childish.

1) said afk jedi grinding is not cheating according to some CSR. ROFL2) reported me for pulling two level 76 creatures over to the afk group. What a nub.
You're the "nub".AFK grinding isn't against the rules.
Training mobs IS.
(wonders why a CSR dropped 5 lvl 500 jedi sentinels on an AFK jedi grind group on the ryatt trail then)
safe zone exploit by hb & jedi. i was there when it happened
You are preaching to the choir! LOL People who train are slime balls.

I am a Jedi. But a system that allows an alpha class to afk grind is lame.
personally I dont think any class should be allowed to AFK grind. AFK grinding is here because of the devs inability to build quality content designed to be fun and challenging yet character building.
exactly. but as was said its Not against the rules and it is against them to train a NPC. Was the Respec we had to let everyone go MBH without ever doing investigation Like it? pretty much. These jedi are not going to know what to do in a real fight.

yeah But Some kids in this game Still dont get it.
Basically its like this To purposely train NPC on someone in the game is Against the rules. Its happend and the CSRs have Not only banned players but have PermaBanned players forit ( I CAN CONFIRM A FEW JEDI PLAYERS THIS HAPPEND TO). Welcome to reality here kids. I know you cant fathom a world where rules exist as your parents just bought you a Computer to keep you in your rooms as not to see there mistake. but When ya get the Courage to go out in the real world Without your Med's youll see theres rules aswell.

Training is against the rules. HOWEVER, if an AFK jedi's macro pulls agro, then that is NOT breaking the EULA. Read it, learn it, live it. It states "who does not desire combat". If your macro attacks then you invited confrontation.
Bringing a train of creatures into some one ones attack macro is indeeda big no no. You are looking for a loop hole in which to grief some one who is AFK grindingand I am not buying it. If a CSR sees you do this you will get banned end of story not the AFK grinder and the CSR will determine that an AFK grinder did not drag a train to him that was beyond his attack macro. You do comprehend this ...Right? I sure hope you are not so dense that you can't follow this.

if someone is afk'ing and you drag mobs on them and they die, you can / should get busted. it was an issue when ppl used to afk meatwads outside cnet all the time, and afk jed are no different.
but please, don't believe what you read in the tos, keep this behavior up and enjoy the results.
