Did not take it as a put down, sorry if I came off that way, any idea on the questions I asked?

I think you gain more depending on how much higher your targets pvp rating is than yours and I think you lose less if the person killing you has more. You also lose more if they have a lower rating. You also gain less if you're not the only one that helped kill the target. Overall I think you also lose more than you gain. It seems I kill 3 people and die once and I'm down lower than before I killed the 3. It's hard to tell exactly how it works.

1475 is decent for a non jedi. I've seen jedi with 1800+ but they pvp all the time.
