Thread: Feign Death question

If they hit you with something massive you'll feign death, but also have to wait out the incapacitation period. But in the end you will succesfully feign death. Like has been mentioned though, they'll aggro you once you get back up. better have laid some great bleeds on them and FD'd far away from their loiter location so you have enough time to stand up and finish them off. If they're standing right next to you when you stand up, you're just dead.

If you lie there long enough then you might have a chance of getting out alive if you let your HAM regain. Justburst out and hope for the best.

I actually had a hit that incapped me while I was prepared to feign last night. What I noticed is that the incap lowers your secondaries (as it usually does) but when the incap timer wears off and you are still feigning, the secondary stats remain at the incap value which makes for a very slow recovery.

Regardless, I'd rather be alive with a long recovery time than dead with decayed equipment.

OK I am patroling through Kor Vella today hunting down rebels who think it is fun to shoot ST's. I come across this guy who is blasting away at the troopers, and he has maybe 100 mind left. So being the rifleman that I am target his mind and get off a shot. THe only problem is thatbefore the round hits he is on the ground feigning death. So i keep autoattacking blasting away any life he has. I even start wounding him. Only thing is that there is nothing i can do. I cant DB, I cant incap him, hell I cant even wait him out as the TEF went away.

Does this move have no timer on it to limit you staying feigned for hours? PLease note i think this move would be very useful in a large group fight. Feign and let everyone pass you by and then get up and nail people in the back. But when it is a one on one fight and I can tell you are feigning death, yet i can still do nothing about it.

PLesae give me some feedback on this move

Yep, we can play dead as long as we like, at the cost of recieving wounds, and if we smugglers get our way we will not only drop, but appear as a corspe to other players too on a successful "feign" from a Master.

I wouldn't worry though, we seem to be the "red-headed step-children" of SWG currently, not that that doesn't make it all the more challenging to be one

Marco...

Besides Master Smuggler, I am also Master Rifleman. You are exactly right. Feign Death gives us the ability to lie there on the ground and taunt the guy standing over us while he knocks our teeth out. We can lie there all day long! This is one of the little joys of the Smuggler Profession!

So you take wounds? OK i was worried that you all sat there with no downside, but since you all take wounds it is more than fair. I would like to see you all appear as corpses for realizms sake

Lol. You ran into a friend of mine. He told me what happened and how he feigned without knowing you were around. Pretty funny.

Smugglers not only take wounds when Feigning Death but their equipment can also take damage. So if you really want to do some damage, ruin our armor while we lie on the ground. I think most smugglers would stand up and take the 5% decay to our armor from death rather than to have it destroyed while feigning death.

Unfortunately for those kinds of people I don't wear armor. They get nothing from me. lol

You are stuck. My personal record is in the neighborhood of three hours with me Overt and an Overt Imperial guarding me.

There is nothing that you can do...especially with someone like me that is a TKA and will just meditate the wounds away.

As for FD in a large group ... when you do the enemy tends to hit you, bleed you, flame you, disease you, poison you ... where you are unable to get back up until it all passes and you have a safe enough distance to escape.

I personally think that FD should look like we are really dead ... where nobody can tell the difference.
