bah ! spoiled sport.. always looking for the easy kill. Sounds to me like he simply put the playing field on even ground and when you lost your advantage you bailed. So .. basically... you did.. what you were crying about him doing... touche'

Jedi die most of the time cause the spent all their time AFK grinding on Kashyyyk or hiding in houses. I say this as a noob Jedi. I have only had 2 BH hunt me. One was some pre-pub 20 BH/CM combo. The fight lasted about 5 minutes and in the end I killed him cause he had to go AFK for a couple seconds. The second time was a respec BH who I killed in about 10 seconds. Both times are perfect examples. The first BH was near FOTM and I lasted long enough as a paddy. The other BH was more like the common Jedi now who AFK ground. They don't know how to play their template so they get their butts handed to them. Learn tactics. This can be done by losing to BH or by dueling. Either way you should keep in mind that the only reason why BH win against a knowledgable Jedi is if they are a CM or Doc Hybrid. Other than that you have to lose to the Doc/Mswords who cant hunt you in the first place.

I noticed you said "...attempting to have an overpowring (sic) character..." which is a better description since they aren't overpowering. Go fight a TKM/Swords/4000 Doc and tell me who is more overpowered. You going to hunt them too?
Now that we have the three-day decay on missions, if the Jedi successfully gets away from me, I'll drop the mission and go on to another. Although I can usually get them before they escape using well-timed KDs and snares, if they get away there's not much you can do about it. They know you have their mission and that it'll decay soon, so they'll just lay low until then.
Jedi can use whatever the hell excuse they want when they run, they could say their RL house is burning down, or they just spilled coffee on their keyboard, or they are dating tom cruise and need to head off to a scientologist meeting.
As a BH you are engaging in Non-Consensual PvP (SOE Sanctioned). Think about that. The jedi wasn't sitting around MO looking for duels, then ran or ended duel when he saw he was losing - in that case you could laugh at him. He was going about his business (mostlikely non-pvp related)when you tried to turn him into your own personal content, and if he stays to fight he stands to gain absolutely nothing, and lose a fairly large amount of experience.
Your job is to kill them, period. If you fight a jedi, and he leaves - you lose. You can go ahead and poke fun at whatever his "excuse" for not sticking around to engage in non-consensual PvP, but that doesn't change the fact that he won and you lost.
This is really becoming a serious issue with Pub 19 and beyond, as non-jedi healing has been increased to the point that a BH/CM with tapes can often outheal even a MLS. This creates possibly the most retarded dynamic in SWG to date, as FOTM bounty hunters show up to kill a mark, and proceed to run up to them and just tank damage for 20 minutes, doing no damage of their own to speak of, until the jedi is out of force and jogs to a terminal and leaves.
This dynamic is likeBoba Fett showing up on Cloud City, running into Luke's apartment, then yelling "I'm here for your bounty!" and proceeding to stand next to Luke for 20 minutes while Luke bangs his lightsaber against Boba Fett, until Luke is out of force and leaves the room. Then Boba Fett sends Luke a letter saying "You ran!!! I Won !@!"

C) They're smart enough to realize they have nothing to gain by fighting a BH.
