Some advise:
If you quit, then nobody wins. Hunting jedi isn't incredibly difficult, and it is all in the timing. You aren'ta tank, so stop fighting like one. Wait and attack when they are otherwise engaged. You aren't supposed to hunt 20 jedi a night, just 1 or 2. Take your time and don't attack unless things are favorable to you, ie they are in a duel, killing stormies, or mobs...or best yet, afk. Catch them with their pants down and you will win every time...or almost every time. And no, you don't need combat medic or doctor to do it...just HUNT your target, not rush in guns ablaze.
I caught an AFK jedi once and I was hitting him with a 1100 damage laser rifle for 30 seconds and his health went to about half..and he came back and promptly pwned me

i dont want to hunt low level paddies that are no challenge that i can walk up to and gank them. that is no fun.
i want to fight 200k-220k that are nearly full temp but are feasable to beat.
and to the post above me, i want hunting to be hard. i dont want hunting to be pointlessly idiotic.
and, it seems that ive fought pre-cu sabers almost constantly, as each jedi is wacking me for about 900-1200, and i have 8050 or so recon
so whatever, make bounty hunting harder, give me more of a reward so im not spending more than im getting due to fighting 5 or 6 jedi before i can kill one.
pretty much the only way i can kill a jedi now is to wait for them to be occupied, or fighting something. (i also have a good T21, so its not like the gun is the problem)
And whats the problem here?
You want to fight the top level Jedi, but expect to just roll up to us when we're fully buffed and on 100% force and attack us with a 50/50 chance of winning? Na, not going to happen and never should be feasable for a BH to win that way. If you dont want to be forced into using the element of surprise and attacking when a Jedi is disadvantaged then i maybe BH really wasnt for you at all and you should consider yourself lucky you only have to fight CU-flavour Jedi and not a real Jedi who could dispatch you in seconds regardless of your armour or the size of your T-21.
Jedi was meant to be the hardest thing in this game to play, with that said hunting a Jedi should not be easier either. Why should it be easy to cause the effects a BH death can have on a Jedi?

what is this element of suprise you speak of and how do you obtain it when you can look on a radar and see anyone within 500 meters or more of you ?

..../sigh
He wants to beat Knight level Jedi. At that we level have a grand total of 3 things to do realistically when logged on. 1: PvP, 2: Help lower lvl grind, 3: Loot wh0re. When a BH turns up, we will most likely be doing one of those things. When the BH gets into range, chances are we will be with other people and as such wont know if you're there for us and most likely, we really dont care, or even worse for you, we hope you are because we're bored.
As a BH you can either, open up fire soon as you get in rnage (bad choice), pretend to be there for another Jedi (smarter choice) or pretned to be there for a completely different reason (better choice in certain instances, like mass PvP or well populated loot area, starport).
If you cant figure out a way to surprise a Jedi when you turn up, thats really your failing and you deserve to die.

alright... im done hunting jedi... i gave the new terminal thing a try, but its just not worth all the money i spend on food and droids etc to hunt full temps everytime, i have kill one jedi (since i cannot hunt anything but full temps) since pub 20, and that was because i caught him in a duel.
now....i wanted to be a BH for the pvp.... since you cant go overt without being killed instantly by 50cloaked jedi waiting for you...
yeah... im pretty tired of the jedi getting all the love...oh hey, half the force cost for jedi...woot....
oh hey wow, we get npc loot....whatever, i want to hunt jedi that are fun to fight, and the fight could go either way... but i fight MD/ML full temps constantly, most with pre cu sabers hitting me for 1200 a hit...
forget it... im going to pay soe for a few months so i can get my glowstick then im done....
That reminds me of a funny story.. Yesterday there was a big pvp event happening in Theed (I'm on Eclipse, too.) It was my first one. I helped my fellow rebs take down a couple of the imps and remembered that I should really clone. Especially since the lag was so bad, I'd go get cloned.
I'm running around, trying to find the cloning machine (I'd entered the room but it hadn't appeared yet)
There's some dude who had already diedfollowing me aroundtrying to taunt me saying, "Rebs are soft. I bet you can't beat me one on one." I said, "Yeah, you're probably right." He kept following me trying to taunt, I kept laughing at him and saying, "Hey! Don't forget I'm a noob, pal." As I'm cruising down this one corridor, this jedi uncloaks next to me. "Awww *expletive deleted* I hit my bacta shot to repair most of my damage, knock him down, root him and start blasting him with crit shot and head shot." He's almost down to no health and he runs away. I don't care, I'm just here to get cloned. (Must've been a paddy or I would've been hammered)
The guy keeps following me, "Yeah, see? You rebs are soft." "ROFL! MAN! You haven't called me a noob yet! Come on! Call me a noob!" He left. I cloned. Then got lag-killed.
Ahhh, good times.

You must mean the corrupt-priest, internet-stalker, Neverland-Ranch kind of love.

again, i have the first strike, i know. but if you dont realize it does almost nothing to a nice little master defender with some heals, then whatever. i truely have fought almost strait MDs since pub 20.
A master defender has what... about 250-260 melee / range defense? This is the same as most other characters at CL80. Inate Jedi armor gives them equivelant to around 40-50% armor. Turn on force aura and it is equivelant to Center of Being skills. As you can see... Defender is not overbearing by any means.
Now lets look at why Jedi are all master defenders now. People cried about the lightsaber toughness - NERFED. People cried about range blocking - NERFED. You really wonder why Jedi are all now MDefenders? It's the only defenses they get. You either take defender skills or you are destroyed by BH's. MDefender is not *required* but it definately makes it worth while to have. Especially with the hundreds of respec BH's there are.
Look at WHY Jedi are all MDefenders. The community made them that way.

Try going on the vette without any defender or any other high end mob for that matter. Its not just about pvp.

so in other words the bh just lucked out and wanderd into you at the right time. Ive killed a couple jedi like that but lets not start bragging about how skill is luck and luck is skill two completely different concepts.

Not really, i'd seen the guy in there coming back for missions a couple times, he waited for the right time.
This was back when solo groups took about 20min per round to complete 1/2 missions.
And one of them attack me in the middle of my grind RIGHT as i was starting at my comp screen, i didn't notice him until he was right on top of me.
To many bh's make it painfully obvious they're hunting a mark, and the fact that i've been spotting bh's for about a year doesn't help you.
Not showing up on rader would be a DEAD giveaway in a city.
