Thread: Bounty Hunter Wishlist
Marc-Anthony's Wish List Explained, and Extended
1. Bounty Hunters NOT being visible on Jedi Radar.
What good is our first strike ability if Jedi see us coming 300m away, before we can even target them! Bounty Hunter should not be required to be Riflemen or Jedi
Hybrids to retain their first strike ability. Oh and one more thing its not like I am asking for a BH Cloaking device like other BHs, just something that will still allow us first strike and not make us insanely over-powered.
2. Mission difficulty rating be indicative of Bounties progress in Jedi.
As it is now all missions are difficulty 100, I believe it should be changed so that it gives a number based on how many skill points a Jedi has put in Jedi skills, not
including Novice boxes in the equation unless they are given a much smaller point base as to prevent padawans from inflating their difficulty artificially.
Some may argue that this brings back padawan griefing or some nonsense like that but with the changes to group visibility it will be much easier for a padawan to
grind and stay off the terminals, I see no reason why Jedi can not stay off the terminals and grind efficiently now.
3. Force Cloak/Force Run reuse timer be extended by ALOT, Like 10 minutes.
If a Jedi wants to run away and not fight the BH thats after him, I am fine with that. But to run away regen come back run away cloak come back cloaked dance
around and make emotes at BHs is stupid. They should have to choose to run at the begining of the fight, or at least only get one chance at it.
OK so that one is a big N-O, but maybe the devs could do something about AFK house sitting? Some possible way so that Hunters don't waste their time? Just a
thought.
5. The /duel bug fixed would be nice.
Sooner than later please.
6. +25 Healing efficiency in the Master Bounty Hunter Box.
Let me clarify this, I don't want Maste Bounty Hunters to get bacta shot or any type of healing move, just the bonus to efficiency so if the Bounty Hunter does wish to
include medic in his template it will give him a small edge.
7. Names of Targets on Kash
8. Location of Targets on Kash
9. A caring and responsive CSR that enforces SOE policies.
From rob0t:
1. More droids. If grouping isn't an option, at least give us the option to have a somewhat powerful droid to back us up. This would help the BH community *AND* the DE community (which, btw, is in dire need of some help).
2. More BH specific gadgets. Traps that work against PC's would increase the need for Rangers. More armor options for Bounty hunters, more bounty hunter weapons (perhaps ones that have a percentage to cause states). This would help the AS and WS communities.
3. A BH faction. One that ignores imp/reb faction (though you can still be imp/reb and be in it). Make it have a ranking system. Your rank would go up if you completed certain missions (a random Jedi mission), and go down in the event of failure. You could award faction points that can be used to purchase single use schematics for the items I listed above. I think it would be cool.
I REALLY like this idea.

Nope, not going to happen. Mission amounts were cloaked so BHs would not know the level of the Jedi.
As our correspondent, don't you think maybe you should fight for us on this one instead of just giving up? I mean Jedi now get NO Vis in group so unless they are pulling their sabres in Star Ports to get on the terms, then they should be able to stay off of the terminals.
I did my fighting before this was implemented, and lost. I even had personal conversations with devs regarding this at Fanfest.
When devs ask for Top X issues I have to pick ones that I have a chance of winning. Otherwise, it gets ignored, and you have just lost an opportunity.
...
6. +25 Healing efficiency in the Master Bounty Hunter Box.
We are not medics. If you want medic skills you have enough skill points to pick it up (or SEAs).
Well I meant this only to be effective if a BH wishes to pick up medic, just so it would give him a little edge in the healing department, not like I wanted BHs to get Bactashot at Master just the bonus to efficiency in case they also have medic in their template.
Again, this is not going to happen. The Doctor and Medic and CM correspondents would raise hell, and rightfully so. If you want more Healing efficiency the skill boxes are available for the taking.

Good, but I would like to add something: Lockpicks so that Bounty Hunters can enter the houses where the Jedi hides.
I think *some* form of this should be implemented.
I think it would be cooler (and meaner hehe) to give houses health. Make them attackable. That'll give the Jedi some incentive *not* to run into his house, especially if he has stuff in it
.
I realize that it probably isn't fair to do that, but it would be a fix, nonetheless
.
I know I'd hate to go poop and come back with XP loss. Or have to log out everytime I had to bio.

How about when your first droid reports back to you what planet they are on it could say "Your mark has been idle for 5 minutes" or whatever

I like that idea! You could have /idle and /afk (assuming /idle isn't already a command). AFK will be the new system, since it implies that you're actually *away* from the keyboard. /idle can be the old afk.

If you read my response to your post in opposition to that you will see that my reasons are not far-fetched and neither is the idea, its not game breaking or unbalancing and it gives our first strike the edge it needs to effective.
I assume the Devs belief in our first strike ability is that it allows us to attack when most effective to do so, my simple argument is that by Jedi knowing we are there, especially before we can TAB them or /tar them, it negates our ability to find the most opportune instant to strike.
I realise this = Suprise first strike, but what possible good is a First Strick with 250 meters of warning?

Next time you hunt a Jedi edit the macro for that Jedi's name once you get the response from the Seeker. When you get to be about 350m from the Jedi, stop and wait for the next seeker update and type /macro Jedihunt, but do not hitenter yet.
Once you get the latest update, swoop in towards the waypoint, when you get in range hit enter (for targeting), hit the dismount key on the toolbar and start attacking.
I will guarantee that you will have a surprise first strike. At least it has worked for me every time so far. Now, of course, he could be a full template but then that's what you get for swooping in
.

Reason I have auto target every 5 secs is if I have to mount again to follow for whatever reason I will re-target automatically.Next time you hunt a Jedi edit the macro for that Jedi's name once you get the response from the Seeker. I have a macro that is simply /tar binded to my "e" key. Sometimes you are right, I do surprise, but never the ones who watch their radar.
Well I hope you at least consider bringing my idea to the developer's attention, you never get that which you don't ask for.
