IMO BH's should start a thread on how to beat certain Jedi with their templates and make it a constructive thread with no whineing. That will be tough I know. I would even help with that as I have been a MBH since before Mounts and have hunted Jedi myself and I am also a Pre-Patch 10 Jedi as well.

Ok im prob gonna get flamed but this is how i see it...
I just took 3 missions names worked great love the way u can see faction.
All 3 missions were jedi knights and i just cant solo a knight they are just to strong for me as they are meant to be.
And i know some people will say that you can solo a jedi knight i cant so im not really intrested to hear that there is alot of people better than me.(Thats why I posted the BH's after this patch will be the Dangerous ones. They are the ones who know their proffesion and took the time to learn.)
This is just forcing us people who liked to hunt 160k/190k jedis to respec out.(See above post)
I have spoken to a dozen people who have the same feelings as I we just cant solo a knight, some people will say that if you bide your time and catch a knight when he hunting. As far as i have seen knights dont hunt they dont need to.
I really didnt see the point in taking away the info u had before..Yes people did attack very low jedi's but they was aware when they went down this path what they was getting themself in for..(Yes but so did you as a Bh. BH hunting is not supposed to be easy and hunting NOOBS all day is.)
I really dont wanna change prof as icant think of anything else i would like to do but i cant keep droping missions to try and find somone i may or may not be able to win.(Learn how to beat them. Yes you my fail but learn from each experience and make yourself better.)

Good call. Personally I thought Ajianna's thread on the matter was a solid one, full of information and details on techniques. It also set a pretty high watermark for BH's to meet in terms of gear. I know it inspired me to work on my BH's gear a heck of a lot more.
Honestly, I don't think this publish "ruins" bounty hunting. I just picked up an Imperial Jedi mission, (nice so i don't spend as much time on rebel bounties as i end up spending on kash bounties) and went to dant where my target was. I did a quick tab through the MO and saw my target, already getting beat up by a guild war, lol. The first time i killed them i got no payout.... I think it was because they had already been incapped twice so it wasn't my kill credit. They cloned, came out, and started guild fighting again. Once i killed them, i got 50k + 170k+ 226k, at least by the messages. I don't know if that payout is right, i didn't check my account before.
However, i waste less time total by being able to target factions in missions, and the only downside is not being able to target a specific jedi by taking their named mission.
IMO BH's should start a thread on how to beat certain Jedi with their templates and make it a constructive thread with no whineing.

LOL, the odds are heavily in favor of specific profession abilitiesfor high end Jedi.
I will give you two guesses. Master Combat Medic and Rifleman /startleshot... The rest of the professions regardless of player skill are heavily disadvantaged against full template veteran Jedi players.

Mau'
I would assume not from the patch notes.
A person needs to design their template for what they would like to do in the game though. If you want to be a tank then design your template for one, if you want to be a support role then design your template for one, and if you want to hunt Jedi then design your template for that. Not all templates a good for everything. Thats what makes choseing your template important.

Yep Ajianna's post did help me and i learned a lot from it like the bomb droids and the food and i also got myself a nice t21.
And i just had another battle with a knight he was sat in the cantina talking i told him he was my mark as i wasnt gonna attack him.
But after a few mins i sent my droid in detonated it and started the fight.
Aim.Underhand.then head then crit then rooted and i almost had him down until he rooted me and moved in for kill..
But it does make me feel alittle bit better i did hurt him.
and yes great idea about another post with hints and tips would be nice ![]()
Keep practicing DOING it and not practicing giving up and you'll be successful soon, I would imagine.

To start it's obvious which are NPC, and which are Jedi ( player ) missions, just look at the rotating pics. That alone is a plus. So, I refreshed MANY times making sure the max difficulty for these missions was 80. Satisfied of that I took a Difficulty 80 Mission and ran the standard droid searches. Long story short, I was pleasently surprised to find out my mark was CL84! He hit pretty hard had about 8k hp and was alot of fun. When he died I netted 600 bounty exp.
I hope there are higher CL marks, 100+ would be fantastic. SOMEDAY I hope NPC Jedi Marks will be a part of that line up.
Anyway for a change of aspect, there ya have it.

Well, alot of folks are talking about Player missions. So, I'll talk about the NPC changes.

Very nice. As u might notice by the sig I still have some Invst grinding to do now that the changes went through so that I can hunt jedi again. I was wondering if they were actually going to fix the NPC stuff this time.

I think its obvious that the design of Kashyyyk is intended to sell copies of ROTW to existing players who are leveling up their Jedi. It was designed to make it easy for them to level on safely, so that it would sell the expansion to those players who might otherwise have ignored it. It will remain exploitable like this as long as its good for sales - and thats why they stated it was a Producer's decision not a devs.
For the same reason identifying your mark on the terminal has been made difficult as well, though not completely impossible it seems. This is probably because Bounty Hunter is the second most popular profession after Jedi, and many Jedi have a BH alt. They can't cripple BH entirely or risk losing that segment of the playerbase.
In other words its all about the sales revenue and nothing about the game balance or reason. Arguing against it is like p****** into the wind. Jedi produces sales, and sales gets executives promoted and increases the bottom line. The game is progressing along this path because it sells to the public that way. Same thing with the CU, its easier for people to understand a level based system because thats what they had in other games, so this game has switched from its clever skills-based system to a hybrid that includes levels. Likewise the curren gutting of the crafting classes - this patch introduced a bug that makes experimentation completely impossible (well you can do it but you are blind to the results, so same thing effectively) that was reported on TC but completely ignored and went live anyways. So, probably no crafting being done at all until they fix that for most if not all crafters. I know I will be producing NO weapons in the forseeable future. Most crafting professions have major flaws in them, but the represent a smaller portion of the population so they get screwed over patch after patch, and the devs introduce increased drops with ROTW so that crafters are marginalized even further.
Soon you are going to have a KOTOR flavoured version of EQ 1in space because the producers have decided that tearing things out of the game is easier than fixing problems.
I am glad to see you can at least get the mark's name from a Seeker droid, since those were bugged before at least this might make them need purchasing a bit more often.

- NPC Bounty missions will now work properly. The Mark will be of appropriate difficulty based on the difficulty of the mission
- Moved Player Bounty Hunting to the Master Bounty Hunter skill Box
- Jedi missions are only created for online Jedi, the Jedi may go offline after the mission is created
- Jedi missions display Faction instead of Jedi name
- Jedi missions all display a payout of a random number between 45000 - 52000 credits on the terminal but may pay a bonus amount based on level and time since the Jedi was last killed
- Seeker droids will now return the name of the Target You have to use Seek option for the name to be returned.
- Changed the name of the "imperial probot base" Bounty Hunter droid to “Imperial probot”
Please provide feedback on missions, including your success or failure, number of missions on Kashyyyk, your template. On successful missions include the final payment amount for Jedi missions.
If there is a bug post it on the Pub. 20 bug thread that is started by Tiggs, and /bug it in game.
Thanks.
ok, here goes: MBH/Mrifleman/pistoleer 0404, operating out of Kaardara.
First mission: tracked to talus, launched seeker in seek mode "target offline". no name provided, aborted mission.
second mission: tracked to a city 2.6k outside of theed, launched Seeker in seek mode, waypoint updated no name provided. jedi was sitting in a cantina, so I aquired the name by tabbing for him (fully templated), mission kept for later, as both of us where semi afk, reading the forums.
third mission: tracked to rori, a city 3km outside rebel outpost, seeker did not return any name.
stopping for now
