Not entirely free, they still need to get crystals and pearls and there are professions out there that do much better damage per second than Jedi. Also, I don't think I would be taking my perma-overt FRS Jedi out to hunt krayts allowing everyone else to attack me while I'm fighting.
I agree, Jedi are pretty much outside of the game economy, and maybe some interdependance should be considered. Then of course you would be taking any pretense of Jedi in hiding and throwing it out the window. I know, many Jedi don't make any effort to be in hiding, but believe it or not, there are a lot of us that do try to play like we should in this timeline.

There will be more Jedi than around before and many many people trying to get it.
It's simple, most folks will always go for the "end-game" content. And Jedi is it. Its the big carrot at the end of the road and, of course, there will be folks who dont want it but look at all the people who holo-grinded. All of them will be doing quest-grinding to become Jedi.

Yes, especially if they continue to scream for power. You see the problem is they want to be as powerful as Jedi in the movies, of which there were six at the most. When you get 524288 with that much power it will only expand to greater and greater numbers as everyone realizes that the only way to PVP successfully is to join em cause you won't beat em. That will lead to the end of swg. Call it what you want but bounty hunters have been saying since the beginning of FS slots. Soon the doomsayers will be nothing but correct. The end is coming soon for SWG...............
