Actually, the DX2 does Acid damage, not Stun.
Ahh....that's right. I'm at work and didn't have my cheat sheet. I knew the damage type was quite a bit different than the majority of pistols.

Hello all-
I am a new Carbineer...want to combine it with BH. My question is which Carbine is your favorite and for what reason. I have been using Nym's slugthrower...but last night in the geo labs I was the subject of some scathing criticism for my S@@@y weapon. Now, I know this will be colored by the type of damage vs. the targest vulnerabilities. I guess what I want to know is there an uber carbine out there? Currently I carry 1 Laser, 1 DXR6, 1 EE3, Nym's Slugthrower and 1 Elite. Am I missing something out there? Thanks in advance for your help.

Slugthrower should be fine for the geo cave, acid seems to be the way to go in that dungeon (it has AP1 doesnt it?). Any Laser carb over 400 after a slice is pretty good from a damage standpoint, any DXR6 over 300 after a slice is pretty good also. Those are really the two carbines that spend the most time in my hands.

Get a EE3 with a dot and a nice krayted laser carbine.
I don't think the poster was asking about the best PvP tactics... As far as PvE goes, the slowthrower is fine on lower end PvE, but the laser is really the weapon of choice. Stocked and speed sliced is the best (Perfect stats like 2.6 93-330 after slice.)

Forget slugthrower, and invest a couple mil into a good DXR6, and a good Laser. If you don't have either of these, you'll find PvE a little difficult. A good adv E11 carbine is also useful, as well as a good EE3

Yes, you are forgetting the Enhanced E11.....a fine weapon for most general things. I am not saying it is better than a Laser, but a nice "budget" Krayt Carbine

Alot of Carbineers use a laser carbine as there all purpose weapon ... statwise before resistances it is probably our strongest weapon. But you kind of answered your own question in your post as far as resistances are concerned. Myself i carry these carbines for these purposes
Laser Carbine - general purpose grinding (usually have about 3 random store bought)
DXR-6 Carbine - general pupose grinding agaisnt energy resistance mobs
EE3 Carbine - well you get the point
Kryat Laser Carbine - higher end PvE encounters
Kryat DXR-6 - This is my PvP weapon. Better min damage thanmy elite because of the slice, and acid is more potent against players
Kryat Elite - Back up PvP weapon in case i need it, or i feel like mixing things up.
I wouldn't bother making Kryat weapons for general purpose grinding since i go through them so fast it would be more hassle than it is worth. As far an uber carbine ... no Jawa Ion Carbines here, hopefully never will be.

try to get one of each damage type that matches your setup.
for instance i have a laser, dxr6, enhanced e11 and ee3.
I am BH carbs too so i ignore speed and get the highest damage ones. don't ignore min damage either, with a PUP my dxr6 has a damage range of 9. great for mitigation. for a master carbineer alone a good mix of damage and speed and acc.
But mainly, the laser is medium AP so make it your buddy. I hardly ever use my ee3, but some mobs are vuln to it and very highly resistant to acid/energy.
