My alt is a MCH, and it is true that some pets DB, like rancors. I also believe that razor cats do too.
Anyway, it's known that some of the pets do indeed DB.

i use a combat droid and have had my droid do incap number 3 and i still got paid. were the pets grouped with you?

I think that TonieStark's summary is a good one. And yes, my 3 pets and droid were grouped with me. The pets involved included a razorcat, which someone mentioned is a natural deathblower.

Thanks! I'm pleased with how things have worked out. I see people complaining about how useless CH is and I just shrug. My pets and I make a pretty fierce alpha strike, doing some 500DPS (after all modifications) if we all hit every time. You just got to have the right pets. Most Jedi I beat go down in the first 10 seconds. And this is before the publish 21 system which is hitting tomorrow. Not to say I don't get beat but I do ok.

MBH/MCH also worked for me, I also have an MBH/MCM toon on the same server and the MCH has a better record. I am not sure about others but my level 69 spider does from 100-300 points of damage every few seconds. She causes confusion as well. I have more fun playing my MBH/MCM though because I do not have to worry about the pet bug. I posted here a while back (to this thread) and I have since confirmed that it was my pet stealing the kill more than I thought. No payout and no xp loss ot the jedi.

If a jedi is incapped twice prior to BH engagment, I THINK that the third incap death count is given to the creature/player who incapped the two other times. I've heard the pet db thing is an old bug though...

I doubt this is what happened here in my two cases. In the first case, I found the Jedi in Mos Eisley. She appeared to be chitchatting. I suppose that she could have been dueling prior to my attack but I don't think so. The second time was similar and I found my mark in Theed standing around with some of his PA members. I think they were getting ready to PvP.
