PSGs do not work againts melee attacks. Even though a saber is engery its melee there for does nothing for you(But why did Obi-wan and Qui-gon run from the droidekas?)
Your' better off getting a belt with a skill modifer. Use the PSG for when fighting mobs

Still does not explain why PSG are ineffecitve againts melee engery attacks.

those droidekas weren't wearing belts with a little puny shield emitter on them. those were heavy duty shields hardwired into their design. remember how they couldn't get through those forcefields in the power room either when obi-wan and qui-gon were fighting maul? heavy duty shields ftw.

Get some Ubese or faction armour with a minimum of 7k energy protection. If you can get 8k all the better.

There isn't that much of a protection gain from 7k and 8k it's like 2% if that. Not really worth the money in my opinion.

TBH. it doesn't matter if your wearing 10k Recon armour, 2k Composite armour, or a peter pan outfit. once you get hit by an inproved Armour break its all the same, lol
If you can get a smuggler to slice all your armour to reduces the effects of armour break

That is true.
I have my ubesse jacket, helmet and pants armor break sliced at 75%. This cost me 600k to do
. My armor only cost me 350k 
. My armor only cost me 350k I was going to slice my 2 bracers for 75% but there are no armor break slicing parts to be found on Lowca. Nothing on Bazaar or under Vendeor search

Don't bother with the bracers, just slice the Head, Chest and Pants.
The bracers don't need anything abovea 25% AB slice, which doesn't require parts of any kind and is free for the smuggler to do.
If you'll notice, what are the 3 armor parts that take the most damage? Head, Chest, and Pants. I have tons of bracers from old and decayed armor suits... anyway, just AB those to 75% and everything else to 25%.

You need a reactive micro thinngy and a Shock Absorber thingy.(shock thing before reactive)
At the Bazaar do a vendor galaxy wide search for reactive and then another for shock. I would not pay more that 200k per piece. It's bad enough some armor vendors are charging 1 million for a good set of armor.
BTW how exactly does the Armor Break resitance slice work? Does it reduce the change for armor break or just reduce the amount of damage that is done while armor break is on?
