Do you really have to consider it "blaming" it on lag whenever the network status window itself is registering ping upwards of 600 and packet loss of 10% or higher at times? I'm more than capable of accepting my defeats as just that but I really think their is somethings screwy with my connection. I've even gone LD while fighting Jedi so their is definitely a problem.

Besides we ALL know that everyone's system configuration is the same aside from raw numbers and thousands of differing ISP providers. What type of RAM do you run? Also what is the video card in your system? Behind any firewalls? These are all very important questions that can affect game performance. I myself am behind two firewalls - the one that comes built into the DSL Modem and the one that is built into my Router.

Well if you're getting 600 ping, its your connection or ISP. Do you really need two firewalls? I dont even have one, just the windows firewall that is always running with xp...

No I don't need the two firewalls - heck I don't even want one. But there's no way for me to turn them off. I've tried setting them both to DMZ but not even that seems to work. I'm pretty sure it's my ISP- I think maybe it's time I consider switching to Cable.

What RAM architecture are you using? I know that my PC2700 is really old school nowadays so I'm just curious.

OK I have a 6 month old Alien Ware.

3.0 Pent 4

GeoForce 4 5900 ultra with 256 mb ram

1 gig of new DDR ram.

I have 60-70 ms ping rate, 0% packet loss and 20-30 FPS.......I lag all the time and my ping never skips a beat. There is tons of server lag now. There is no way the my computer is the problem.

I used to run this game with no problems on my DELL 8100 LATOP with 512MB ram, Pent 3, 1 gig and GeoForce 2 Mobile with 32mb ram. I used my laptop for 1 year with aboslutely no problems, there was a small slow down in Moneia and Theed but all I had to do was turn my graphics setting to the lowest setting and it was back to pvp.

This lag seems to be server side ive reported it a numerous times with bug reports.

i always got ping 50-70 and atleast 20fps.

but when i go into combat actions are delayed, creatures hit you melee while they're 60m away etc...
the famous you cannot kd recover while kd. or you a kd'ed and you run straight for about 5secs and then drop down, whole this time you cannot do anything.

SOE definatly knows about all this but just doesnt seem to be doing anything about it.
