Until recently, I was a resolute anti-jedi player. Not anti against the community of them. I don't hate them because they are better, or have something I don't. I just didn't want one for myself. No real interest in it.
It has become increasingly evident that I will need to get a Jedi in order to compete in PvP (which I loved until recently), for high end content like the DWB, and the Blackscale place (if it ever opens), and for just sheer boredom with bounty hunting. I've no urge to take on ANY BH missions anymore. I ran 30 even over the weekend. 6 stacks of 5 probe droids. EVERY single Jedi was on Kashyyyk. Knowing where the "probably" were, but not having a name, I didn't really feel like searching every instance of every dungeon on the planet for a Jedi without a name, skill level, or background on them. And all this for 50k.... that doesn't even pay for my lunch, gas, and tolls!
So... I'm now unlocking jedi trees, grinding out the profession, and PvP'ing on the side to liven things up. My issue with PvP in it's current state is this: Just about all the non-jedi PvP'ers on my server have CM 4000 or 0400, so they can outheal just about every barrage I throw at them. I don't care for this much, but I won't bash it, it's their choice of play style. I didn't chose the CM route, and have invested all my skill points in high level weapons skills, speed, and defense with a light peppering of assorted FS skills from the village. Having great equipment, CA's, AA's, the right foods, etc... I am a formidible PvPer. I lose, I win... makes no matter to me. The point is, I can SEVERLY outdamage ANY opponent, I've fought.
I often review the combat log after a good long fight, and it happens the same everytime. I deal out in the neighborhood of 30-50k damage on average against these "elite healers" (CM's, Jedi, etc) which receivnig only a fraction of that damage back. Typically, I go down after about 10k worth of damage, for lack of not being able to keep up with the healing. With foods, clothing, and the right stims, I can heal every 30 seconds for about 1500. So with my fooded/buffed health around 4100 or so, that means I healed only 4 times in a fight. Whether I win or lose.
The opponent however heals constanly. I can keep up the constant barrage of crowd controlling them, and nailing high level hits (adv critical, adv head, snare, root, torso, startle, etc) indefinatley...
It's just not enough. I usually win against these templates because they make a critical error, hit the wrong button so instead of healing, maybe the attack, and I have them... or they run out of meds, foods, etc....
This scenario annoys me to no end. I am OBVIOUSLY a better fighter than they are, with better equipment, more experience, better tactics, etc but because of their inhuman abillity to heal 600 or dmg every few seconds, I often cannot make them fall.
I feel like I HAVE to have a monster healer to be any "threat" now in pvp. Usually while I am draing either their force or their stims, there is enough time for somoene to see, call for help, and then jump me with a group. Good tactics for them... very bad for me and my ego.

Only as long as the BH mastered only two professions. If a Jedi sees only BH / RM badges you bet he will know what template the BH has. If he sees Commando / Pistoleer / Smuggler / BH / RM / CM badges, its the same effect as not seeing any badges at all (except knowing that the person is or was able to hunt Jedi).
turning off profiles is the least of a BH'ers problems. All jedi do these days is /duel you .... to know for sure ....

When i left about a year ago, it was still a rush to have 1 or 2 Jedi to show up in a PVP battle @ a base. I came back last month and the only people i ever see PVP'ing now are Jedi, tons of them. I can take one on, but not 2, 3, 4+ at a time.I don't like how the PVP scene turned out and i hope there is a possible solution to it,i want to see more of the original proffesions pvp again.
