Yes it is possible for everyone to become a Jedi. Noone knows how to become one tho. You should read the Jedi FAQ on the site and the Jedi forum.

That's right, so far there is info in the manual and even in the game on some of the missions about being a jedi, however no one knows how to do it, or even which profession to start with.

There are Dark Jedi NPCS, there are NO Jedi players yet.

*sigh* Quick answer, No one knows, takes a long time, is practically random... If you bought this game cause the box said you could be a Jedi, you have been had. It is possible, but they expect like a few for every thousand people that play i believe
